Was it one of them AI haters, was it just a FYI to save me, or was it the content he was talking about?

I am so confused, even paused on making the videos so I don't waste my time.

If your content can be spammed and is low effort video production, youtube will bury your video, instead observe other channels in the same niche that keeps getting huge views and copy them. Make sure copying them isn't enough, you need to add some kind of value for the viewer to even sit through your videos.
