What is the difference b/w do-follow & no-follow links?

The basic difference is that do follow links can pass ranking signals while no follow links tell search engines not to treat the link the same way for ranking process.
That said no follow links can still bring referral traffic, brand exposure and sometimes help with faster discovery of your content so they are not useless.
 
Do-follow: Passes seo authority link juice and helps improve a websites search engine ranking.

No-follow: Does not pass seo authority but it can still drive traffic and increase brand visibility.
 
The main difference is that do-follow links can pass SEO value (link juice) to the target site, which can help with rankings, while no-follow links usually don’t pass that value directly.

You're absolutely right. Nofollow links don't pass PageRank in the traditional sense.

My point was that they can still contribute to a natural backlink profile, referral traffic, and overall brand visibility. In my experience, having a healthy mix of both link types looks much more natural than relying only on ******** links.

Simply put, do-follow links pass on 'link juice' and directly help with your SEO rankings, telling search engines to trust the destination. No-follow links, on the other hand, don't pass that authority directly but they are still crucial for bringing natural referral traffic and keeping your link profile balanced

******** links can pass SEO value while nofollow links tell search engines not to treat the link the same way. That said I still like good nofollow links because they can bring real traffic and make your backlink profile look more natural.
 
the main difference is simple. ******** links can pass authority, while nofollow links tell search engines not to pass it. that doesn't mean nofollow links are useless though. they can still bring traffic, visibility, and sometimes lead to natural backlinks.
my opinion, i wouldn't obsess over the ratio. a natural backlink profile usually has a mix of both
