Hello

Many bloggers focus on publishing more articles every week but older content often has the biggest potential.

Updating posts, improving titles, fixing structure and adding missing information can sometimes bring better results than creating something new.

What has worked better for you recently like publishing more or improving what you already have?

This takes too much time, resources and often results in no improvement.
Adding new content can give you quick ranking and results.
That's why most seo and bloggers focus on new content and we know google rewards new and fresh content.

For me, improving existing content has given better results. A well written article that is updated regularly often perform better than publishing lots of new posts. I still create new content, but I make sure to revisit and improve older posts as well.

I will actually focus on improving what already has some traction before creating more content. A well-updated post often performs better than several new ones, especially if you refresh the information, improve readability, and match what people are currently searching for. Once you've maximized your existing content, publishing new articles becomes much more effective.

it's mostly about whether the old post actually has any impressions in search console. if a page is sitting at zero impressions after six months, updating it is usually a waste of time and you are better off writing something new. but if it is already ranking on page 2 or 3, a quick title tweak or adding a few missing subheadings can push it to page 1 in days. i usually check gsc first... if there is no data to work with, i just publish new stuff.

What worked best for me is not just “update old posts” but merging weak old posts into the one that already has backlinks or impressions. A lot of blogs have 3-4 articles targeting almost same keyword and they kinda fight each other. I pick the strongest URL, add the missing parts from the others, 301 or internal link properly, then change title/meta after checking GSC queries. Just changing the date or adding 200 words never did much for me... but fixing cannibalization has moved pages pretty fast.

I have seen better results from updating older content. Generally, quality improvements offer a better return than publishing more..

I completely stopped trying to publish multiple articles a week. Instead, I use Search Console to find old pages with outdated info, add fresh data and structural headers, and they always get a nice ranking boost.

I have had better results from updating older posts.Sometimes just refreshing the content and fixing a few things was enough to bring them back to life.

Based on my perspetive, I have learned that the optimization of current page is beter than making new page. this is due to the fact that curent pages, which have already ben displayed at the second page level, need much less effort than new pages, which have no reputation.

Yes most bloggers spend too much time creating & ignore improving, form experience updating old posts works better & gives faster results than publishing new ones

Improving existing content has delivered better results lately. Refreshing outdated information, strengthening headlines, and making posts more useful often brings more traffic and engagement than publishing new articles every week.

If you can build SaaS, don't fence yourself in by local boundaries. Put your attention on global customers, target actual business problems, and price in USD or EUR. Even a small micro SaaS, with international users, can end up generating far more revenue than most nearby opportunities. Also, aim for usefulness first, because worldwide demand rewards good outcomes.

I would probably choose improving what i already have. It takes less time than writing a new article, and I have noticed it can still make a difference.

For me, updating older posts has been worth it more often. Sometimes a few improvements to the content and structure can make a bigger difference than publishing another new article.

I still publish new content, but I try not to ignore posts that already have some potential.

People treat bloging much like managing stock—they generate content without maintainig it. Rather than writing new content altogether I find it more convenient to improve the content which is being sen by people. small wins lie in the content you already have.

The better ROI for me has been refreshing olderr posts rather than creating new posts . A feww content updates, better internnal linking, and matching the current srch intent has brought traffic back much faster than starting from scratch.

For some reason this made me think of the documentary by Adam Curtis, Bitter Lake. One of the core arguments is that news is broken in to simple fragments to elicit an emotional response without an end/resolution.
The point: I like a blog with an actual point, but that evolves or updates, especially as it develops. Things change, so a "one and done" blog doesn't cut it for me personally and I try to keep following stories for updates, so blogs should do the same imho until there is an actual resolution/ending.
Just my opinion though, take it or leave it :)
