hey,
I have noticed more marketers talking about telegram ads lately, especially for niche communitties and direct response campaigns
For those who have tested it, how does it compare to other traffic sources?

Telegram Ads are definitely getting more attention now,Especially for niche audiences.I noticed that the traffic quality can be surprisingly good when the ads are placed in highly targeted channel. It feels more direct compared to some traditional ad platforms.

For some vertical, it can bring very good traffic because users are already grouped by interest But there are also a lot of lowquality channels fake numbers, and poor conversions if you don’t test carefully.
I’d use it as an extra traffic source, not a replacement for SEO Meta, TikTok, or Google Start with small placements, track conversions, and scale only the channels that actually perform.

I have found telegram traffic can be very good when the audience is closely related to the offer. The volume is usually smaller than larger ad platforms but the engagement has been better in some niche campaigns. Choosing the right channels has made a bigger difference than simply increasing the budget.

I believe that, if the telegram is used in the right group, it can be a quick way to directly contact the customers.

Telegram ads are becoming a useful traffic source because niche communities are highly activemengaged, and often respond better than traditional platforms lately

It can work well in the right niche, I'd say the audience quality matters more than the traffic volume on Telegram.

I have not tried it myself yet,i'm following this discussion with interest. It will be helpful to hear real experiences for members who have tested it.

I have not tested them myself but I have heard they are worth trying for certain niches. I would probably start with a small budget and see how the traffic converts first.

Telegram ads can work well in smaller niches especially when the audience is already active and engaged. The traffic volume is not as big as major ad platforms but the engagement quality can be better in some cases. I have found it works best when the channel selection is very targeted.

We tested Telegram alongside Meta for a campaign last year. Telegram generated fewer clicks, but participants tended to stay in the community longer instead of leaving after their first visit. It's not the easiest traffic source to scale, but the user retention potential is better than I expected

Telegram ads are still pretty niche compared to platforms like google or meta. They work best when you already understand the audience inside specific channels. Cold traffic can be hit or miss but in tight niches the engagement can be surprisingly strong if the offer fits well.

For niche communities and direct response, Telegram Ads sit in a different lane than the broad platforms, so it's less about better or worse and more about fit.

Where it wins: the whole funnel stays inside Telegram. You promote straight into a channel or a bot, so there's no jump to a landing page bleeding out clicks, someone taps and they're already in the conversation. CPM tends to run cheaper than the saturated feeds, and you're reaching people who already sit in the exact niche channels you care about, so intent is warmer than plain interest targeting.

Where it falls short: total scale is smaller, so if you need raw volume it caps out fast. Creative rules are tight, no explicit claims, and inventory clusters in certain niches and geos, so some offers just have no room.

One thing that decides it: don't trust click through rate. Track cost per join or cost per bot start, attach a unique start parameter per ad, and check retention a week later. That's what tells you if it actually beat your other sources.

Best,
Floqal

Yeah, they’re getting there. Not fully mainstream yet, but definitely a solid traffic source if your audience is on Telegram. Cheap, decent engagementb worth testing for sure.

Telegram Ads are useful for testing and fast traffic but they still need proper optimization to get consistent results. I think it works better for certain niches where users are already active in groups related to the specific topic.
