In most cases exact match keywords are not the main focus anymore. seo has shifted more toward covering entire topics and user intent rather than repeating the same keyword.

what has worked better for you: long tail keywords or broader topic coverage?

I focus more on topics and search intent now rather than exact match keywords Long tail keywords are still valuable because they target specific searches, but covering a topic comprehensively usually performs better in the long run A good mix of both has worked best for me

Yes, I still use exact match keywords but I do not build content around them anymore. I focus on covering the topic naturally and matching search intent. In my experience, that works much better than targeting one keyword over and over.

yeah, i would say exact match keywords still matters, but not in the old "repeat it everywhere way.

long tail keywords to capture specific traffic and broader topic coverage to build authority and rankings over time.

These days i build content around a topic instead of chasing one exact keyword i naturally include related terms and that approach has been more consistent than keyword stuffing

Try to focus on quality content, you will learn automatically what type of content fetches more searches and also gets more traffic

I still do keyword research but I focus much more on topics and search intent than exact match keywords, long tail keywords are great for identifying what people are actually searching for, than I build comprehensive content around the broader topic. That approach has been much more effective for me than trying to optimize every page around a single exact match phrase.

From experience, broad topics coverage usually performs better because it captures more variations of user intent and brings in a wider range of searches. Long-tail keywords still help though, especially for faster wins and lower competition terms.

I have found better result by focusing on boarder topic coverage while includoing long tail keywords. It is more likely to rank for more search terms and provides a better experience for readers.

I think topical completeness is more important than the keyword variation. Pages that remove the need to click through to another result tends to do better.

A more comprehensive approach to topics is always going to win out in the end The low-hanging fruit of the long tail will continue to be there, but they re going to disappear quickly. When you develop depth in a cluster through proper linking, the longtails will come for free

I focus more on topics now, aiming for broader relevance and user intent. Exact match keywords still matter, but they’re part of a bigger, more holistic strategy.

Ofc, exact matching has its place for the sake of clarity however that is not the motivation anymore. what I usualy do is develop a landing page about a speciic topic and let the long tail keyword arise through the page on their own.

Broad Topic Coverage is a more succssful approach in the long run. Although long tail keywords are very useful for quick successes, they are only an introduction point since true success lies in full coverage of the intent

I think the topic of the page is more important, along with the traffic. Google already knows what your page about and you do not need to put a lot of anchors in your links.

exact match approach can also be used for the purpose of defining the intent, however, it is not the approach anymore. In this case, I use the topic aproach and allow variation to appear thanks to structuring, internal linking, and Google Search Console.

For me broader topic coverage has worked better long tail keywords still help but I use them naturally inside the content instead of making every page around one exact keyword its given me better results overall

Yes, you are right seo covered the entire topic and user intent nowadays as compared to repetition of the keywords in the content.

For me broder topic coverage worked better as compared to long tail keywords. These keywords works best for some specific niche but not everywhere that's why I mostly covered the broader topic coverage.

I have found that it is better to establish topical depth first and then naturally work in long-tail keywords. This results in more stable rankings.

some still with exact match keywords for faster results.
