Are new blogs taking longer to gain traffic now?

from my experience newer blogs usually take longer to gain consistent traffic now because competition is much higher and search engines seem more cautious with new sites patience and regular updates made the biggest difference before rankings started improving steadily

I've noticed something similar with newer blogs too. It feels like getting the first consistent traffic takes longer now, even when the content quality is good.
I think a lot depends on the niche, competition, and how well the site builds topical authority over time. Some sites start moving faster after a few months, while others need much longer before things pick up.
from my experience newer blogs usually need more patience than they did a few years ago even with good content and solid seo it often takes several months before traffic becomes consistent competition is higher now so steady publishing and regular updates seem more important than ever

Yeah, I've noticed that as well. It feels like new sites need more patience now before the traffic becomes stable.
I think early growth also depends a lot on niche competition and how quickly the site builds trust and topical relevance.

If a website takes even one year to achieve good metrics, traffic, and monetization, that is not a big deal.

From my experience the timeline has definitely become longer. One thing that helped was focusing on a small group of related topics instead of covering everything. Once a few pages started ranking then the rest of the content seemed to gain traction more easily.

I think consistentcy is more important now than speed. My newer site did not see steady traffic until i had a decent number of related articles published. Once google understood what the site was about then more pages started ranking instead of just one or two. It felt more like building momentum than getting quick wins.

From my experience that newer blogs do seem to take longer to gain momentum. One thing that helped was focusing on publishing consistently around one topic instead of chasing lots of different keywords. It took months before traffic became steady but once google understood the site focus then growth became much more consistent.
My last site did not really take off for the fst 3-4 months and then a few pages took off at the same time. Publishing more content did not have as much of an impact as targeting low-competition topics and updating the older posts regularly.
