Sad News to Share

Oh wow, that is very sad to read. He was indeed always here and very helpful. May he rest in peace ...

Oh man, BTB was a legend in this space. His Facebook thread was the reason I joined BHW. His thread helped me make my first few dollars from IM. Always super helpful, super nice.

We lost a legend. Rest In Peace Greg.

It is hard to find the right words for moments like this.

You will be missed more than words can properly explain.

Some time has already passed, but the space you left behind will remain forever.

People like you are not forgotten, and legends never truly die.

Rest in peace, B! You will always be remembered!

It is with great sadness, love and loss that we announce the passing of BTB.

Greg, better known as BTB or @BassTrackerBoats around BHW, was a dedicated member of our team, a good friend, proud husband, father and grandfather.

Always there with a quip, story or an anecdote from a long and varied life, he'd constantly undersell himself as 'the Janitor' around here, always putting himself down, but he meant so much to many of us. He was a real force in our community, respected and admired as a colleague and a true friend. Over the more than ten years we worked together, he brought experience, loyalty, warmth, and care that enriched those of us fortunate enough to be included in his circle.

Always here (literally always) with a helping hand around the forum and a suggestion or two for those who raised questions, he considered BHW his second home, sharing his thoughts with the community and team, engaging and funny to the last.

A true Facebook hustler, in there since the early days, he always underplayed when asked for advice. But that advice was all too often on the money and extremely helpful. Dedicated to his beloved football, basketball and baseball teams, combined with a particular penchant for Oysters, he’d always be about the “good people” in his life, pushing others ahead of himself and always wanting to be in and amongst whatever was going on in the forum.

He was a great friend and confidant to all of us. You'll be missed, BTB. Enjoy that big pond in the sky, my friend.

They don't make them like that anymore.
My deepest condolences to BTB's family, friends, and the entire BHW community. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, BTB.
