This point of time updating existing content and strengthening internal linking are giving me some of the best results.
 
For me, it's been updating and expanding existing content rather than constantly publishing new articles.

A lot of pages that were sitting around positions 8–20 started moving up after I refreshed outdated information, added missing sections, and improved internal linking. It takes less effort than creating new content and often produces faster results.

Not every update is a winner, but it's probably been the most consistent SEO tactic for me this year.

Topical authority + small internal linking
 
Honestly the biggest shift for me has been writing for AI Overviews, not just Google's classic results. Putting the actual answer in the first 1-2 sentences of each section instead of building up to it slowly has made a noticeable difference, both in featured snippets and in getting pulled into AI summaries.

Other than that, internal linking is still underrated. Most people obsess over backlinks but ignore how badly structured their own internal links are. Cleaning that up alone moved a few of my pages up without touching anything external.

Backlinks still matter obviously, but it's way more about relevance now than volume. One link from a site that's actually topically close to you does more than ten generic ones.

publishing helpful content consistently and improving internal linking has worked best it takes time but the results have been more stable than chasing quick SEO tricks

For me, topical authority has been the biggest win lately. Instead of chasing a few high-volume keywords, I've been publishing clusters of genuinely helpful content around one niche and improving internal linking. It takes more time, but I've seen better rankings and more consistent organic traffic. I'm also curious to know if anyone is getting strong results with AI-assisted content when it's heavily edited and backed by real experience.
 
For me, updating existing content isn't bad but it won't work equally well in every niche.
Search behavior changes over time, even when the underlying intent stays the same. They're asking the same questions in new ways. Updating existing content to reflect those changes can build traffic that wasn't there before.

yeah, updating pages that already have impressions is usually the easiest win. new content helps, but fixing intent, titles, and internal links on pages google already knows tends to move faster.
