How Do You Check If a Backlink Is Indexed?

Hi,

I’d like to know the best way to check whether a backlink is indexed by Google. Do you use Google search operators, SEO tools, or any other methods?

Also, if a backlink isn’t indexed, what strategies do you use to get it indexed faster?

I’d appreciate hearing about your experiences and recommendations. Thanks!
Semrush, Ahrefs and GSC can all do this.

Whenever I’m itching to see if Google noticed a link, I double-check that the referring page isn’t buried somewhere deep and dusty on the site where crawlers seldom wander. I’ve noticed pages with active sitemaps and a bit of social buzz usually get indexed much quicker, especially these days. For anything stubborn, tossing a few relevant internal links pointing at the page can work wonders.

just a heads up on using search console... you can't actually use the url inspection tool for backlinks unless you own the referring site. the links report in GSC is okay but it takes weeks to update, so it's not great for checking new links.

honestly the site: operator is getting pretty unreliable lately anyway. google has been weird with it. i usually just paste the exact URL into the search bar in quotes. if it shows up, you are good.

if you have stubborn links that won't index, most cheap indexers are a waste of money now. best way is to build a few tier 2 links on active web 2.0s or tweet the link to get the crawl bots over there.

I check it by search the URL in google or check it through GSC. If it is not indexed than I add few internal links.
