People Watch My YouTube Videos but Don’t Subscribe – Why?

Sometimes it's just the niche. Tutorial how-to channels don't get much retention, for example

Don't worry too much about views alone. If your content is useful and consistent, subscribers will come over time. Just keep improving each upload.
 
views without subs usually means people got what they needed from 1 video and left. try making a clear series or tease the next video, give them a reason to come back instead of just saying “subscribe”.
 
They enjoy the content, but they do not have a compelling motive or prompt to subscribe.

there are instances where the viewers enjoy the video but do o't yet know what they can gain from the subscription. consider providing a motivation for them to stay around by way of a continuing series or videos on the same subject matter. i would also consider the videos that attract repeat visitors insstead of just views.

If you mention it in your videos and they still don't subscribe, you must have given all the necessary information in the same video, so they think they don't need to subscribe to come back and watch further videos. Add suspense for future videos, and let them know the next videos will be more helpful.
