Do you trust older domains more than new ones ?

I was checking the websites and I realize that if I see the website has been around for a long time then I automatically feels like it is more trustworthy. Without looked at the content the age if the domain give me better impression.

I think working in SEO has made me think in this way.

I would like to know when you are looking at a website, does age of the domain influence your opinion or do you only care about the quality of the site ?

you have to treat domain age as a small trust signal, but not a deciding factor. I've seen older sites that were neglected and newer ones that were far more useful and professional. My advice is to let the quality of the content and the overall user experience carry more weight than the registration date.
 
My attention will be on domain age

domain age also matters, but its not the only factor that influence my opinion,
 
I do not check domain age first, I care way more about topical authority , the content quality, and if the website actually shows real expertise. An older domain might help build trust. but the age itself is not a guarantee for quality or for rankings, not even close.
 
Domain age can be a factor affecting perception, but it is more psychological than anything else. In reality, what matters to me is how deep the content is, how consistent it is, and how much backlink activity there is
An old domain does make some difference, but it doesn’t balance poor and out-of-date content
 
same here honestly, it's a weird seo brain thing, age alone shouldn't matter that much but it does subconsciously
 
I think older domains do create a sense of trust especially if theyve been active and maintained for years, but in SEO I care much more about the quality of the site, its content, backlinks and overall reputation than the age of the domain itself.

Ive seen brand new websites outperform older domains simply because they had better content and execution, domain age can be a positive signal but its definitely not enough on its own.
 
An older domain gives a better first impression but i still judge the site by its content usability and overall quality age helps but it doesn't guarantee credibility
 
An older domain gives me a better first impression but I never rely on that alone if the content is weak or the site looks abandoned the age doesn't mean much
 
As a user I'd trust older brands yeah, but not necessarily the domains. Regular users don't even check domain age.

As an IMer I fully distrust older domains :p
 
An aged domain definitely gives you the first impression that it's good.

Many people can't continue to renew a domain that's not worth having.
 
Working in SEO probably makes us notice domain age more than the average user personally i judge a website by its quality and usefulness before anything else

If you're asking about seo, in my opinion, google still places more trust in old domains.

For me, quality of website matters more than the age of the domain. Older domain can build trust but if content is poor then I do not see much value in it.
 
domain age can help build trust initial trust but i think content quality user experience , and the site's reputation matter much more. A newer website that consistently provides valuable and reliable information can be just as trustworthy as an older one.
