I had an old blog sitting with no updates for years. Instead of publishing new content i tried improving existing posts, fixing internal links and targeting better keywords.
Surprisingly some old pages started moving again. Curious that what was the biggest change you have made that actually revived a struggling blog? Was it content updates, backlinks, technical fixes or something else?

Publish fresh content consistenly. Updating old post helped, but adding new quality articles made a much bigger difference.

For one of my older sites i improved the content structure that made the biggest difference. I added clearer headings, answered missing questions and updated outdated information. It took a few weeks but several old pages started ranking again without adding many new articles.

Thanks for the input. I have some such blogs. I will also try to apply above changes now and share results here.

For me getting few good backlinks and updating the content at same time really helped. traffic starts coming back after that.

I've seen content updates and stronger internal linking make the biggest difference Refreshing pages that already have some visibility often delivers better results than starting from scratch.
