Are YouTube Shorts helping channels grow faster?

I analyzed a bunch of creators and the following strategy works great: on YouTube shorts post multiple times a day, funnel ppl to a long YouTube video with value and from there to an offer
Also pls don’t rely on earnings from views. Have an offer. Sell a PDF. Sell a template. Whatever

What is your goal? If you want to earn from YouTube Ads your way is to grow your channel with long form content. If you want an impressive number of subs you can use Shorts but keep in mind that 99% of them will not watch your long form content.

Shorts are great for exposure, but adding a strong call to action makes a big difference in converting viewers into subscribers.

It seems that short-form posts, up to 60 seconds, encourage viewers to subscribe to the channel faster when the content is engaging enough.

Shorts help with development, especially when they keep people glued to their screens.

Youtube shorts have become a major part of the platform and many creators seem to be using them to reach new audiences and grow their channels.

for creators who have been using shorts consistently , what has your experience been?

YouTube short is a great option to grow your channel. Upload high quality short with proper SEO consistently definitely helps you to reach new audience

YouTube shorts are definitely the fastest and most effective way to get your content to new viewers. Regularly posting shorts will steadily increase views and followers. However, if you want a loyal audience, you need to create longer videos to keep them engaged

yeah honestly a lot , one of my friend's channel wasnt growing much he shifted to shorts and one of which got viral and this guy grew so quickly

Yes—YouTube Shorts can help channels grow faster by increasing reach, attracting new viewers, and boosting subscriber growth when used consistently.

yeah everyone saying they are good for reach is right but there is a major catch. if you build a channel on shorts, those subscribers are basically dead weight for your long form. the algorithm treats them completely differently and if you post a long video, your shorts subs wont click it, which ruins your CTR and kills the video impressions. @bravis mentioned using them as top of funnel which works, but you have to link the short to a related long form video directly through the editor link tool since they killed regular links in descriptions. otherwise mixing them on one main channel usually ruins your long term stats... better to keep shorts on a separate channel to test angles.

Short videos have helped my channel grow much faster than before. I think you should focus more on short content, as more people prefer watching short videos these days.

You can use Shorts as a funnel. Post a Short, add a link to the long version in the description or comments. Some people click through. But most won't. You can use them but can't rely on them. Also build your long content alongside. that's the real foundation.

Shorts do have their place, for sure, but I believe Shorts true utility lies in the fast iteration of ideas. Shorts that generate high retention give you insights into which topics or formats have potential in being extended into longer form content. The problem lies in equating the Shorts views to your long video loyailists.

They are solid for reaching new audiences but converting those viewers into subscribers who watch long form is the real challenge.

YouTube Shorts help reach new viewers much faster. They bring more exposure, while long videos help build loyal subscribers and better watch time over the long term.

Short videos boost discoverability, meanwhile long form videos get monetized easier.

Short videos are useful when it comes to trying things out and reaching people initially, but I feel like the true success lies in how well you leverage that attenntion. A video that goes viral but is unrelated to your actual content is bound to bring you fake viewers. Those who take advantage of short videos as an introduction to their content appear to do better.

Yes, for subscribers. Shorts reach millions of mobile screens fast. Channels using them grow numbers much quicker than channels only posting long videos.
