Hello

More people are using Instagram like Google now. Instead of just scrolling, users are searching for products, tutorials, reviews, places and recommendations directly inside the app.

Things like keywords in captions, profile names, alt text and content topics seem to be playing a bigger role than before.

For those growing Instagram accounts, are you focusing more on Instagram SEO now instead of just hashtags and engagement?

What is working better for you like keyword optimization, Reels, hashtags or building community?

I still think instagram is mostly a social platform. Good content and engagement matter way more than trying to optimize everything for search.

Instagram is becoming more like a search engine. I focus more on keywords in captions and profile text now. Reels work well for reach, but good SEO and community building help long term.

I've noticed the same trend. More people are using Instagram search to find businesses, products, and tutorials, so optimizing captions, profile keywords, and content topics seems more important than before.

Reels still drive the most reach for me, but good keyword optimization definitely helps with discovery.

Yes, people do that because Instagram ads are becomes a trend now, influencers pin the product with their reels and promote them so people search for their reviews in comments and other details in the comments.

According to me, Keywords and content topics are become more important on instagram.
Hashtags still help but good reels and content that matches the search intent of the user are performing better.
I strong community is also important because engagement helps the content to reach at more people.

From what I've seen, it's no longer just about hashtags. Reels, relevant keywords, and consistent engagement with your audience seem to have a bigger impact on visibility than they did a few years ago.

The importance of Instagram SEO has increased, however, Reels are my biggest source of growth on the platform. I use keywords within my captions and profile information, and concentrate on creating content which gets saved and shared. This approach seems to be more effective compared to hashtag usage

Reels still bring the most reach, but using the right keywords definitely helps. Good content and an active community still matter more than hashtags for me.

All of this is because of.gen ai
All platforms now have this capabilities

Yes, and this trend has been ongoing for several years; however, it hasn't completely replaced traditional search engines. Instead, in many consumer scenarios, it has evolved into a hybrid of "discovery engine" and "search engine."

The shift in user behavior—especially among Gen Z, who view social media as their primary search engine instead of Google—requires growing accounts to adopt an Instagram SEO strategy.

In my view, Reels generate excellent reach. This can be highly beneficial for an individual, so make sure to optimize them.

Many investors poured money into the platform for promotion, and then people followed suit. Therefore, IG is gradually changing and becoming more promising for businesses.

I think seo is becoming much more important. I have seen posts continue getting views weeks later just because they rank for specific searches. Reels still drive the most reach for me but using relevant keywords in captions and profiles has definitely helped with long term discoverability.

For me, Reels are still the biggest growth driver. I use keywords naturally, but most of my reach still comes from good content and watch time.

The search engine part of Instagram is more of an addition so that they can track the type of content you are into; and show you reels based off that. Its more of "machine learning" the type of content you enjoy watching.
