following along on this. one thing i'd ask is that you track the actual cost and hours per method, not just "works/doesnt work". a lot of these app rank n bank courses technically work but by the time you factor in the freelancer + the months of waiting the roi is trash for the average guy reading the thread.
also the freelancer part is a double edge tbh... if you outsource the time consuming bits then your results dont really reflect what a solo newbie could pull off. maybe note which steps you did yourself vs hired out so people can judge for themselves.
the play store one is interesting timing wise, google has been cracking down hard lately so curious if the methods account for that or if its already half dead. will be watching.

appreciate the thoughtful questions . I track actual cost + hours for each method, breaking down my time spent, out-of-pocket costs, and effective hourly rate because ROI is the real metric, not just "it worked." I also clearly flag which steps I did myself versus hired out (and what I paid), so solo beginners can judge replicability. I also note how long each method seems viable, because some techniques get patched in weeks. Keep the questions coming, they make this better for everyone.

Appreciate the suggestion, Services are a different beast, they depend heavily on the provider's execution, current workload, and even the specific account or campaign. What works for me might not work for you with the same seller, and I don't want to give anyone a false green light. Courses are a fixed product: you buy it, you run the method, you get a result I can actually reproduce and review fairly.
That said, I remember another member (@Steptoe ) ran a massive study on indexing services back in 2024 tested 9 different BHW indexers with real orphaned pages and tracked Googlebot visits. If you have any specific services you'd like to see reviewed in that style, feel free to suggest them.

First thing: it's against BHW's rules to recommend a specific course, even if I'm not affiliated with the seller. So I won't point you to one product and say "buy this."
With that being said, here's my honest take given your situation:
Keep your money.
I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear, but it's the best advice I can give. When you're out of work and need cash ASAP, spending your last $99 on a course is a gamble you don't need to take. Even the best courses won't put money in your pocket overnight, they give you a framework, but you still have to put in the hours.
What I'd actually recommend:
- Pick a journey thread on BHW that matches your skills and interests something with regular updates, real numbers, and a method that doesn't require a big upfront budget. Read the whole thing. Take notes.
- Test one method : don't try to do everything at once. Pick one traffic source, one offer type, one angle. Run it for 2 to 4 weeks with minimal spend.
- Assess and adjust : track everything. What worked? What didn't? Adapt based on real data, not guesses.
- Scale what works : once you've got a proven method generating even $5 to 10$/day, then consider investing in courses or tools to speed things up.
