Hello everyone,

I'm looking for 10 experienced marketers, agencies, lead generation professionals, or email outreach users to test a platform I've been building over the past few months.

The platform focuses on email list cleaning, validation, and deliverability analysis with an AI-assisted approach.

Most verification providers perform SMTP checks against every email address, which can become expensive when working with large databases. My approach is slightly different:

Step 1: AI & Rule-Based Cleaning

  • Duplicate detection
  • Invalid syntax detection
  • Disposable email detection
  • Role-based email filtering (info@, sales@, support@, etc.)
  • Domain and format analysis
  • Risk identification
Step 2: SMTP Verification (Optional)
After removing obvious bad records, SMTP verification can be performed only on the remaining emails to determine mailbox existence.

The goal is simple:
Reduce unnecessary SMTP checks and potentially lower verification costs while maintaining list quality.

Hey @syphaxmail, if you still have spots left i'd love to jump in on this. I run cold outreach for a few lead gen clients and cleaning costs are kinda getting out of hand lately.

@MootSam is right about the role-based emails, having a toggle to keep some of them is pretty important for B2B. Also, how does your setup handle catch-all domains? That is usually where we end up wasting the most money on SMTP checks or risking bounces.

I have a couple of older, messy lists of about 10k leads i can run through it to see how the accuracy holds up. Let me know if you can slide me a slot.

the AI cleaning step before smtp is smart for cutting costs but honestly that part is the easy stuff... regex and disposable domain lists do most of it already. the real money question is catch-all handling which someone already brought up and you didnt really answer.

few things id wanna know before testing. when you say AI assisted what is the model actually doing that rules cant? cause if its just classifying syntax thats not really AI thats just validation with extra steps. and on the gmail app password thing, running smtp checks through a gmail account is gonna get you rate limited fast and possibly flagged, you cant verify large volumes that way without burning the sender. how are you handling that at scale?

also self hosted deployment is the part im actually interested in, most providers wont let you do that. is the validation logic running locally or does it still phone home for the AI bit.

ill take a slot, got a couple lists around 8-10k thats pretty crusty i can throw at it. sending you my email. one ask though, dont auto enroll testers into any review obligation later, you said no positive reviews required so just hold to that.

To clarify, I don't consider regex, syntax checks, disposable domain detection, etc. as AI. Those are standard rule-based validation steps and are mainly used to reduce unnecessary SMTP calls.

The AI-assisted component focuses more on email and domain intelligence. Apart from rule-based cleaning, we're building agents that analyze domain WHOIS data, domain reputation signals, DNS health, blacklist status, IP reputation, and other deliverability-related indicators to provide a risk score and additional context instead of a simple valid/invalid result.

Regarding catch-all handling, we're not blindly marking catch-all addresses as valid. The platform performs SMTP conversations and records the recipient server responses. Based on SMTP responses and other signals, addresses can be classified as valid, catch-all, risky, or unknown. So it's definitely not blind validation, although, as everyone here knows, catch-all verification can never be 100% certain.

On Gmail app passwords: absolutely agreed. Gmail/Yahoo are just one type of SMTP configuration supported by the platform and are intended for small-volume or self-managed use cases with configurable rate limits. Users can connect any number of SMTP servers—custom SMTPs, third-party providers, APIs, AWS SES, etc.—and configure rotation, per-hour/day limits, and campaign-level distribution rules.

For self-hosted deployments, the core validation engine runs locally on the customer's infrastructure. Privacy is a major focus, and users maintain control over their own data."
