Do simple casino funnels still convert better, or are pre-landers, quizzes, and multi-step flows giving better results ?

simple funnels still convert but mostly when intent is already there. The real edge now is controlled friction like multi-step flows filter low quality traffic and warns users up, which is why they tend to outperform in competitive casino campaigns!

Direct linking is simple but works best when the brand is known and the traffic is already warm

We always use a mix of TrafficPopcorn pwa's and prelanders. Alongside native push notifications too which can be very helpful for improving results.
Of the options, we see the Chicken Road, Plinko, & Gates of Olympus style offering the best conversion.
What geo's are you running?

simple funnels usually win unless the traffic is very cold. Every extra step tends to kill some conversions. I'd start with the simplest path possible and only add quizzes or prelanders if testing shows a clear uplift.

I’d say it’s worth split testing both since results vary a lot by traffic source and geo.

In general the optimal funnel should be the simplest one which solves the clients main problem. cold traffic need a bridge or pre lander while warm traffic converts better through simple funnel.
