Years ago many clients didn't understand SEO at all, but today many arrive after watching YouTube videos or reading blogs. Has this made selling SEO easier because clients understand the value or harder because everyone thinks they're already an expert?

Id say its a mix of both, you will get the ones who think they are an expert because they have chatted a bit with chatgpt, and you will also get the ones who have tried to become an expert, understood that its not easy, and at the same time understood the value, they will for sure ask questions, tough questions, but i think those are the best clients, they understand enough to know that its worth it, but they also understand enough to know not to question everything as if they know better. so id say its become easier, because the ones who think they are experts were never buyers in the first place

It’s a bit of both, clients understanding SEO basics can make the conversation easier but it also means you spend more time correcting half knowledge from YouTube and blogs. The real win is guiding them with simple, clear expectations and focusing on results instead of arguing theory.

Anyone can learn SEO basics, but experienced professionals can handle the technical process and execution. Nowadays, clients are more interested in learning of seo

Yes clients are far more informed today that makes conversations easier but it also means expectations can be harder to manage because there's so much conflicting SEO advice online
