noticed something interesting that some Facebook pages barely post anything yet they keep gaining followers and getting decent engagement. Meanwhile other pages are posting every day and struggling to grow.
Do you think it is because of stronger content, shares from older posts, community engagement or something else? curious to know what people are seeing right now because the usual "post more grow more" advice does not always seem to be true anymore.

interesting observation i think its mostly due to Facebook pushing old high performing content through the recommendation algorithm or they might be running ads in the background. content velocity is not as important as engagement signals anymore

Some Facebook pages grow with almost no posts because they leverage strong branding, viral shares, paid promotion, or existing audiences from other platforms to attract followers.
 
In my view, it appears that quality is what counts these days rather than quantity , posts that are good continue to be shared and recommended after they have been posted for quite some time, hence the need to concentrate on quality and interaction.
 
The post more grow more meta is long dead. Quality over quantity is the real deal now

Posting too many times a day bores your followers and makes them ignore your page. accounts that post less often create excitement, making every single upload feel like a special event.
 
I think that old, high-quality posts will be rediscovered and shared by viewers, so we should upload quality videos and posts.
 
i think they just simpy buy some account to push content back again (like seeding comment and likes) then create a conversation (maybe ragebait i guess) to attract audience, the platform smell the signal of viral and push it again
 
A few high-quality posts that keep getting shared can outperform daily posting. Consistent engagement seems to matter more than posting frequency.

I have seen the same. Consistency alone does not seem to be enough anymore. Pages with a loyal audience, content that people actually save or share and strong comment engaggement often do better than pages that just post every day. I would rather see 2-3 genuinely usefful posts per week than daily posts that people just scroll past without engaging.

If you have good content on your old posts they tend to get reshared therefore you grow without a lot of new posts.

the value of evergren content is often underetimated. the post that keeps giving you like comment, and saves continue to grow for you while the post without any engagement is left unnoticed.

Frequency of posts is not everything , there are instances when the growth of the page is bcz of the presence of good posts that continue to be liked, or the type of content that fits the interest of the audience. In some instances, one successful post could be more effective than frequent postings for the days or even weeks.

I think older pages sometimes benefit from the trust they have already built. Even if they post less often, their audience is more likely to engage when they do. Posting every day does not help much if people just scroll past the content. I would choose one valuable post that sparkks conversation over seven forgettable ones.
 
it's usually ragebait or heavy comment seeding in the beginning. once fb picks up the crazy engagement signals, the algo just loops the old post to new audiences forever.

I believe that a lot of it depends on peoples reactions to the material. A single page that has several quality postings can continue being reposted and discussed for seveeral weeks while a posting of something daily that people do not like will die out very soon.
