i want to ask since it's been a pretty long time competitors do this, they use alternate meta tag to their amp site and then sometimes they also do alternate in their amp site, and then in serp the one site that would pop up in rank is amp site. Why, and is this manipulating ways benefit much and how long for estimation will it stay useful
<link rel="alternate" hreflang="id-id" href="ampsite" />
<link rel="alternate" href="ampsite" />
<link rel="alternate" hreflang="id" href="ampsite" />
<link rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="ampsite" />

but my competitors only put one same link, and then they don't even do like english language, indonesian language, and only put one same link, and in serp the one ranking is the amp page they made using fresh created subdomain

It isn't necessary to create a separate version; Google can be available locally in both Indonesian and English
