hey everyone,
i have been testing facebook ads and i am getting some decent results on a small budget.
the issue is whenever i try to increase spend or scale the campaign then the performance drops or the cost goes up.
not sure if it is the audience, creatives or my setup.
for those who have scaled ads successfully then what usually makes the biggest difference at this stage?

One thing I’ve noticed is that scaling too aggressively can sometimes reset what was already working. If the campaign is profitable try increasing the budget gradually and keep a close eye on your creatives. In many cases, fresh creatives make a bigger difference than audience tweaks once you start spending more.

Yeah, dont scale too fast, they get greedy and "eat" all your budget and the algorithms flagging you like being suspicious, they like it slowly, slowly, just like with woman :P

Dont increase the spend more than 25% or the camp goes into learning mode , instead just duplicate the camp a couple of times and pause the ones not performing that well

Have you tested cost cap yet? So far one of my better ways to scale.

Also it's good to wait at least 5 days before adding new creatives, increasing. budget or touching anything in general, from there it's pretty safe to keep adding 25% a day or grab your best ads and launch a cost cap campaign.

- make sure to be somewhat honest with your CPA goals.

i have run into this before. in many cases, scaling too fast resets performance because facebook has to realm the audience. what worked better for me was increasing the budget gradually and testing new creatives at the same timer. often the creative becomes the bottleneck before the audience does.

Increase the spending gradually like 15-20% per 2-3 days so that Facebook pushes your ad continuously.

Audience fatigue and creative performance are usually the main factors at this stage

agreed and a lot of people make changes too fast. letting campaigns stabilize for a few days before touching anything has usually given me better results.

I look at it like Youtube thumbnail. If small traffic works but big traffic fail, maybe the angle is too narrow. Need broader angle before scaling hard

i have found that scaling too fast often hurts performance. small budget increases and regularly testing fresh creatives usually work better than making big changes all at once.

That's pretty common from what I've seen.
Getting something profitable at a small spend is one thing, but scaling is where it gets tricky Every time I see people increase budgets too fast, performance seems to get weird. How much are you increasing the budget by when you scale?

When you run a small budget, your frequency stays low. The creative feels "fresh" to the algorithm for weeks. The moment you push the scale button, Meta aggressively force-feeds your ad to the audience at a rapid pace. A creative that survived for a month at $20/day will completely burn out in 48 hours at $500/day.

Keep the same approach in your ad creative, but make it fresh and unique, and scale it up with new ad campaigns on other accounts. It's no longer possible to simply duplicate the current campaign and get the same results

yeah this makes sense. small budgets keep delivery slow so fatigue build gradually but scaling pushes rapid exposure and burns the audience much faster. thats why scaling often needs fresh creatives but not just budget increases.

this is pretty common. usually small budgets look good because delivery is controlled but when you scale then meta starts expanding reach fast and the same audience burns out or gets less responsive. in most cases it comes down to creatives and gradual scaling rather than just increasing budget.

First advice i agree with, anything faster than 25% increase in 2d and camp goes back in learning mode. But I'd definitely advise against duplicating the campaign or the adset. You'll end up squeezing all the campaigns, blocking bids from same campaigns in your account and none of the campaigns will get out of the learning mode when they starve for leads/actions.
