Are iPhones really that classy?

I mostly find it funny that people who own iPhones feel special. I mean my Android phone works just fine.

I want to know if there is something I'm missing without iPhone, well aside from few tasks on miscrotask webs that I would need that phone to complete. Which other thing can be so important so I can get one of those phones?

People are not after the features or design, they just want the Apple on the back

iPhones are actually good and feel premium but Android phones are better in comparison, except for the camera because I am not a selfie guy
 
I don't know about classy, it's pointless to engage in that where tech is concerned. I'd say it does an adequate job being a good device to give to my less tech-inclined family members though. I have one as a spare too, just because.
 
The hardware is amazing, but the software is lackluster.

From business management standpoint, it is the best because all data collection works simpler with 1 OS. But better yet, employees cannot gain root access easily. So they are often "the only phone allowed for security". This gives the illusion that they are safer than android.

But from user standpoint, android offers more control.

They both use the same outdated encryption that everything else uses still. Everyone knows the wealthier people typically have them, so they are targeted more. And only 1 operating system is much easier to target than the many android ones.

It's simply more convenient in a world full of iPhones.
 
I think Iphones have excellent camera, even an old iphone like 13 takes better photos than an android with an 56748589 megapixel camera and ios is safer than android. Besides that I think there's no big difference.

agreed I just dislike them releasing a phone ever 2 days. androids win the battle of longevity.
 
iphones cost a lot so website and social media optimize their platforms for iphones, since having iphone users on your platform could attract more ad spending. So videos and photos end up looking better when taken using iphones
 
The word class is subjective, but if we're talking about public perception, iphones have cultivated an image of status and design that no other phone has managed to match, some of that is true: the design is clean, the materials are top notch, and the operating system is exceptionally fluid, apple meticulously attended to every detail to make the product feel premium, from the packaging to the weight in your hand, that feeling of solidity and simplicity is hard to replicate.

But there's also a huge cultural component, owning an iphone, especially in certain countries, is still associated with a certain economic status or with being up to date with technology, it's a symbol of belonging to an ecosystem, the brand has positioned itself as aspirational, and although today there are Android phones with better cameras or longer battery life, the iphone remains the one people instantly recognize, that's marketing class, not necessarily hardware class.
 
Honestly, for regular use, you are not missing much. But if you are shooting content for TikTok or Reels, the iOS optimization for social media apps is unmatched. The camera feed inside the apps doesn't compress or lag like it often does on Android. That is the only real dealbreaker :)
 
People just want to have it. Thats it. Android has more features and flexibility than iphone.

Unfortunately androids camera picture quality gets nuked in apps like snapchat and instagram those apps just seem to be made for iPhones.

Use the latest version with top brands like Samsung, oneplus or pixel, and you’ll find the answer and solution to your issue yourself.

Innovation + features + class = Samsung.

apple was samsung largest buyer of many components before they started making their own
 
IPhones are good devices, but a lot of the "classy" image comes from branding and the Apple ecosystem. If your Android phone does everything you need, you're probably not missing much besides a few iPhone-exclusive conveniences.

im sure your correct but it doesnt stop the social/classism aspect to phones. Androids will always look down upon. So it really comes down to if you care or not lol. I personally like the iPhone but if they keep down this route of making new phones every day and self destructing older versions I might switch to team android.
 
Basically i will tell they are marketing strategy worked better where now everyone has iphone
