Facebook Vs google ads

I think both Facebook and Google Ads have their own strengths. Facebook is great for targeting specific audiences based on interests and behaviors, while Google Ads is better for intent-based searches. In the future, it depends on how both platforms evolve, but right now, Google Ads is still dominant for search intent, and Facebook Ads excels in social and display ads. Personally, I use both depending on the campaign, but Google Ads tends to give more direct results.

It's much easier to run ads on Facebook. Google is good too, but you can't really compare the two. You need more expertise to work with Google. There's no simple answer—you can make money on both platforms. It all comes down to your knowledge, technical infrastructure, and the offers you're promoting.

I honestly doubt it google captures people who are actually looking to buy right now high intent, while facebook is just interrupting people while they scroll,
since the recent privacy updates messed up facebook's tracking, google has been way more consistent for getting actual sales.

Your question hits the nail on the head in the most heated debate in the digital advertising world in 2026. In reality, neither side is "destroying" the other; rather, they are evolving to occupy different places in consumers' wallets.

in crypto launches we used google search for high-intent leads & fb for remarketing; what vertical are you focused on?
I mostly focus on e-commerce and local businesses. Google for search intent, FB for retargeting works best for me too.

don't know which one will be bigger but based on what it costs to use either they are about the same as far as I can tell

Hi everyone,
Do you think Facebook Ads will grow bigger than Google Ads in the future? What is your opinion on this? please share!
Which platform do you mostly use for advertising, Google Ads or Facebook Ads?
I think FB Ads probably won’t surpass GAds overall cause they serve differnt purposes. Google is intent-based , whilef FB is interest-based. FB can grow in social commerce, but Google dominates search and high-intent conversions.
I mostly use Facebook Ads for brand awareness and retargeting, and Google Ads for direct sales and search-driven traffic.

I think both will keep growing, but Google Ads still has a bigger reach, especially for search intent. Facebook Ads are great for targeting specific audiences, but Google has more power for conversion. Personally, I use Google Ads more because it’s good for targeting people who are already looking for something. But it really depends on the business and goals.

I think both have their strengths. Facebook is great for reaching audiences through social content and video ads, while Google Ads still shines for capturing people actively searching for products or services. In my experience, a mix of both often works best depending on your goals.

Facebook Ads and Google Ads actually work in different ways, so it’s hard for one to fully replace the other. Google Ads usually captures people with high intent (they are already searching for something), while Facebook Ads is great for targeting and awareness based on interests and behavior. From my experience, if someone wants quick conversions, I often lean toward Google Ads, but for building brand awareness or targeting specific audiences, Facebook Ads performs really well. So I think both platforms will keep growing, but they will serve different purposes rather than one becoming bigger than the other. Personally, I use both depending on the campaign goal.

The shift is already happening. Google Search is built on an aging 'index and click' model, while AI is moving us toward an 'answer and action' model. With AI agents capable of analyzing products and even placing orders based on a simple description, the need for a traditional search engine is shrinking for many users.
On the other hand, Facebook (Social Media) serves a different psychological trigger - impulse and discovery - which is harder to replace with AI search. As AI replaces the manual research process, Google’s classic search traffic will likely decline, making Meta’s media-heavy, discovery-based ecosystem more dominant in terms of user attention

I'm currently using both. Based on the data, I'm getting the most clicks from Meta Ads, but I still consider Google Ads to be crucial. From a financial perspective, I'd probably lean more towards Meta Ads.

it depends on the targeted audience. Google is way ahead by targeting the big clients on the other hand facebook ads are useful only for targeting limited types of niches

Both will grow, just differently. Google Ads is better for intent and conversions, Facebook Ads for targeting and scaling. I use both.

If you can find the right keywords, go with Google ads. But this can be a bit tricky: if you're promoting a new product/business, there might not be enough demand for it yet so you won't know which keywords are relevant. You'll have to test a lot (unless you stumble on winning keywords right from the start).

Facebook ads can be a good alternative here. They're more precise in terms of targeting and you have more creative opportunities. But make sure you understand the whole Advantage+ thing: don't just opt in for it blindly, research first and test AI campaigns vs. manual campaigns. If manual works better for you, explore targeting tools as well (like leadenforce or something else) - they might come in handy if you need a specific audience.

google traffic usually converts better for me
facebook was always easier when i needed volume

I don’t think Facebook Ads will fully replace Google Ads. In my opinion, both will keep growing but for different purposes.

Good question! I think both will keep growing, but in different directions. Google Ads is still stronger for high-intent traffic, while Facebook Ads is better for interest-based targeting and scaling creatives. I don’t think one will fully replace the other anytime in the future...
