I think, the biggest advantage I had in the beginning was posting into the correct keywords + niches first, rather than any random pins.

The simple answers is yes it is difficult nowadays. But consistency has value in any sector. As a beginner try to schedule that you would publish and pin atleast 5 photos with proper optimization and wording.

it's not that i did something wrong. a new account has basically no trust yet, so the algo barely shows your pins until you've been consistent for a while. the people saying "it works great" are usually 3-6 months deep and forget this part.
so for a beginner it's not hard, it's just slow and boring at the start, which is exactly where most people quit. how long are you willing to post into the void before you call it?

I got better results by focusing on quality pins with good keywords instead of random posting. Also, making multiple variations of the same pin helped a lot more than I expected.
