Hi, all.

Its my first post in like 3-4 years, im working for on some projects again.

I have, from 2022, when i last worked in seo, 3000x links that have open redirects, meaning, xy.com/fcj/out.php?url=test.com, links like this, that actually redirect.

Does this have any use in 2026? If yes, how?
Posting it to linkfarm comment spam websites is the only thing that i can think of.

Thanks for reply, and welcome back everyone.

Redirect links like those have lost most of their SEO value especially from comments spams and link farms

Most open redirects don't seem to carry much SEO value anymore I still see them used occasionally for indexing experiments or tracking but I wouldn't rely on them for rankings in 2026

most of the time these still have very limited use in 2026. they can still get indexed or picked up in some cases but platforms are much better at filtering redirect patterns now. in most real SEO setups, they do not add much value unless they are part of a broader legit link profile.

They're garbage. Made hundreads of thousands for my churm & burn websites, no effect.

Without social signals coming from logged in acounts, links are worthless. Static links with no activity are no longer worth anything.

open redirects still get picked up but most of them lose value fast now
i tried using them a while back and they get deindexed or ignored pretty quick
works only if the source domain already has real trust otherwise its just noise

Have heard from people doing mass doorway spam that they can be used for stuff related to indexing but beyond that i have no idea of other usecases.

Do you mean that only social signals from Chrome/Google account logged have value now?
