Every SEO has been affected by a Google update at some point Looking back what was the most valuable lesson you learned from an update that either helped or hurt your website? Did it change the way you approach SEO today?

What I learned more than anything else was that quick fixes don't stick. Sites that had been based on true topical authority, valuable content, and solid branding came roaring back following several updates by Google, whereas those who had played games with the system took a lot longer to bounce back.

For me it is that consistent posting and updating your posts at least twice a week, gets you higher rankings on Google's search pages.

The biggest lesson is seo just take time and during this time your should be consistent creating content and doing seo stuff. You can't judget the results in few days or even weeks

My site got hit a few years back due to rapid translated pages, was seen as spam if my analysis is correct. What I've learned throughout the years is that click depth is a real thing, I try to never go deeper than 2 clicks from the homepage, properly interlinking all pages.

the biggest lesson i have learned from google update is that shortcuts do not last.
everytime there is a major update and sites that relied too much on weak links or thin content usually take a hit.
now i focus more on solid content, proper site structure and natural backlinks instead of trying to game short term ranking signals.

Focus on quality over shortcuts.
Updates hit sites that try to game the system the hardest.
