Hi there - I’ve been a member on here since February of 2019, I’m not a lurker and have genuinely had great success with sellers who have DM’d me after i posted WTB threads about my needs ,
However now when i try to reply to the sellers who have DM’d me in my latest thread i can’t sent them the links I want to get removed (either through the BHW embedding feature, or just as straight links) and i can’t send Dropbox links of PDFs / images etc either, nor attach images in the messsges ,
Is that normal? I know i could post more to grow my accounts status , but i don’t want to add needless messages in threads where i am contributing nothing - i respect and love this site , but i come here because I need help with things I cannot do myself , or services which your members can do much much better and efficiently than i could do , so my input to threads just to grow my accounts status seems like it would be counterproductive to the integrity of the BHW community?

I would love some advice - and I’m just a solo contractor , so the cost of accessing the data base is high for me , but if i could i would of course pay the Jr. VIP fee to contribute to the site and have access to the features I need,

Let me know - so I can find the best way to be a supporter of BHW and the contractors who work through here , while maintaining my own dignity and the integrity of the site by not just posting endlessly as I’ve seen other users try and do, just to grow their account

What you are experiencing is completely normal.

Accounts with fewer than 15 posts have limited messaging permissions for safety reasons, which is why you are unable to share external links, attachments, or use certain embedding features in DMs.

These restrictions are in place to protect members from spam and scams, and they lift automatically once you reach the posting threshold.

The best approach is to slowly build up to 15 - 20+ posts without spamming.

Take your time, post naturally, and everything will be fine after that. You won't have any issues.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer this , I will start to be more active - I can at least ask questions in threads which I actively search through to build my profile to that point ,

You need to have at least 15 posts before you can create threads in the WTB/HAF sections.

Please note that, as a non-upgraded member, you will be able to create WTB/HAF threads once you meet the requirement, but you will not be able to reply to other members'.
