How important are H1, H2, and H3 tags today?

Hi,
I am working on On-page SEO optimization and want to know how are headings tags like H1, H2, and H3 important today? Waiting for your response.

H1 H2 tags still matter for on page SEO, especially for organizing content clearly, but content quality and intent matching matter more today.
 
I am a Frontend Developer and based on my experience we can improve a websites on page seo through proper coding practices. However coding alone is not enough to achieve complete seo. Developers typically contribute around 20% of the overall seo effort.

Our role is to optimize the websites head and body sections according to seo best practices including title tags meta tags H1 H2 and H3 headings page speed and a well structured HTML layout. The remaining aspects of seo such as keyword research content optimization and link building are usually handled by seo specialists.
 
Heading tags like H1, H2 & H3 are more important tags in the part of SEO. They are very useful in organizing the contents of the post which is done on the websites. This provides well-structured and give clarity to read for the users.

Yes, I totally agree that heading tags are not major ranking factor but they helps search engines and users to understand the webpage structure.
