Instructions for appealing a Facebook ad account with automation error 273

Appeal tutorial for 273-restricted ad accounts
Requirement: Must force the ad account into a permanent restriction before bringing it back.

There are 2 ways to force a permanent restriction. For accounts that still have the appeal button:

Method 1: Normal appeal (takes about 2 hours to get permanently restricted) Go to Account Quality, click the appeal button, and upload the ID matrix/document as usual. It will take around 2 hours for the account to be permanently restricted.

Method 2: Instant permanent restriction

  • Step 1: Share the restricted ad account into the Business Manager (BM) that holds the appealing account.
  • Step 2: Add an Instagram (IG) account into that BM.
  • Step 3: Log in to that IG account on a mobile phone, then click on this link (Note: Replace ACCOUNT_ID with the ID of the 273-restricted account you want to appeal):
  • https://www.instagram.com/_n/accountquality/?actor_id=ACCOUNT_ID&source=actor_business_ale_ig_post_enforcement_notif
  • Step 4: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the face scan (video selfie). Once done, the account will be instantly permanently restricted.
=> Once the account is permanently restricted:

  • Step 1: Log in to a Via or Clone that has the "Meta AI Chat" feature, and access the BM holding the restricted ad account.
  • Step 2: Go to Account Quality, select the ad account that needs to be appealed, and click on the AI Chat icon in the bottom-left corner.
  • Step 3: Chat with the phrase: "This account of mine has been disabled". Wait until the captcha verification prompt appears, then complete the verification.
  • Step 4: After completing the verification, chat: "Done". A phone number prompt will appear.
  • Step 5: Enter a phone number to get the verification code. Enter the code, and the account will be restored instantly without needing to do anything else.

I've actually noticed a lot more 273s lately, especially right after adding a new card. Feels like Meta has been a lot more aggressive with risk checks than it used to be.
Interesting method though. What kind of success rate are you seeing with it? And once the account comes back, does it tend to stay stable or are you seeing them get hit again a few days later?

If you follow my method above, the correct form 273 will definitely come back 100%
The image below is a type 273 resistant, okay?

It's effective, isn't it? I've recently encountered some errors like that. I'll give it a try.
 
That's a helpful contribution, however, do you have a solution for the account locked due to error 792? I have a lot of ad accounts that have been locked like this :(
 
I've seen similar methods shared, but results can vary and sometimes increase risk.

Tricking the system into a permanent lock sounds incredibly risky because if the hard reset fails, you've completely fried the asset with no way back. Using a Meta AI chat profile to bypass the queue is a smart angle, but relying on an automated glitch means Meta will probably patch that loop the moment it gets too much traction.

you're not wrong, but waiting around for a safe method is how your ad account gets disabled anyway. why not abuse the glitch while it actually works? meta patches everything eventually, might as well make some money before they do

That's a fair point, aggressive scaling usually requires making the most of loops before they close. The real challenge is making sure the rest of your system is structured to handle it when that specific exploit inevitably burns out. If you don't have secondary holding BMs completely isolated on separate proxy segments, a sudden patch can freeze your active pixels instantly.
 
I'd be careful relying on methods that depend on glitches or loopholes. Even if they work temporarily, they can stop working overnight and leave the account in a worse state. Long-term, fixing the underlying trust signals on the account is usually more sustainable than chasing recovery tricks.

Spot on. If you don't fix the core trust signals like having a verified business entity, consistent spending history, and clean payment lines you're just constantly building on shaky ground. It's a lot less stressful to maintain a solid, compliant setup than it is to constantly rotate through burned assets every time a glitch gets patched.

I tried it and it didn't work, or did I do something wrong?
