How to Grow an Instagram Account in 2026

I made an Instagram Account in January 2026, related to Wardrobe Items. In the first 2 to 3 Months, I kept it warming up by 3 to 4 hours watch time and posting product reels and images. During this time my account was private with 0 following and followers. Than in April I bought fake follwers and made account Public, starting following accounts and commenting with 5 to 6 hours watch time. Now I share stories daily, post 2 to 3 reels and pictures after 2 days. In start my account was getting 30,40 to 80 views randomly, but now it droped to 4, 5 to 10 daily.
Need suggestions how to improve my account.

Those fake followers are useless. They only make your profile look pretty. In my experience using social media, a page needs to provide value for people to follow you and start trusting you, which in turn leads to purchases.
 
i think watch time is not the main thing to focus on. what usually moves these pages are real saves, shares and profile clicks. i have seen clothing pages do better when they stop posting generic product shots and start making simple outfit hooks, fit checks, sizing tips and before/after styling clips.

your audience signals are probably messy right now. ill clean up the dead followers, slow down the posting a bit, and test 10-15 posts around one tight content angle instead of mixing everything up
 
After reading it, I think you are overdoing it, which makes the IG platform think that you are a bot or spam. I believe that is the reason o_O

I am also a instagram content creator. My growth secret is consistency. If you provide qualityful content consistently your account will definitely grow. There is no invisible method

This is something you should consider. HQ Reels will give you engagement and followers.
 
fake followers can only do so much for views. The real metric for views is engagement. Make sure you make your reels as interesting as you can to keep people engaged, or consider posting meme reels to boost engagement
 
Focus on getting real engagement instead. Better reels, consistent posting and content people want to save or share will do a lot more than extra watch time or fake followers.

Buying fake followers is likely the reason your reach dropped. Instagram prioritizes engagement, and fake followers don't interact with your content. Remove fake followers, focus on quality Reels, and engage with real people in your niche. A smaller audience of real followers will always outperform a large audience of fake ones.
