during this bear market i just have a short position opened for ETH, probably closing it in the coming weeks, maybe open another one in august or september during a counter trend rally

this year your priority should be just preserve what you have or slightly increase it, nothing crazy

I'm following Ben Cowen ideas if you want to check his youtube or X, he is hated by all those gurus, permabulls and altcoin shillers

and opening short/long positions is a bit riskier, I opened a 3X position, not degen stuff to avoid losses, at least i'm making money instead of being liquidated like many people, there are no methods or strategies, just following Ben's ideas and applying it

i know it can looks like promotion for his channel, but guy has 1m followers, he definitely do not need me xD, just grateful that I pivoted from altcoin shillers to someone serious, there are other analysts that you may follow, but pick someone serious, not clowns promoting shitcoins all the time

Thank you for sharing. I will take note and listen to Ben Cowen. The world always has new things to discover. I am very happy that you shared this. Thank you for that. The market crash from last year until now has been terrible.

In this market, I think anyone can be a "newbie"; only the sharks have a deep understanding of the market.

I've always wanted to reach that 10%, but I'm sticking with the rules and methods and losing faith in crypto.

Exactly, what I'm looking forward to is learning the methods of those who have been in the market for six years. I think those who are good at surviving for so long must certainly be profitable.

Yeah, I hold some BTC too. Not gonna lie, seeing it dump never gets any more fun lol. But if you've been around crypto for a few years, you've probably already survived stuff that felt like the end of the world at the time. The guys I know who made it through multiple cycles weren't the smartest. They were just too stubborn to quit.

let's overcome this difficult period together. If you're holding BTC, there's still hope for growth. The year I held ETH, I was almost despairing, along with the majority of other holders. I've lost faith in ALT coin / shit coin:(((
 
For the past year all money has been going into stocks rather than crypto, total crypto market cap is down more than 50% since the peak and even lower than it was for most of 2021, so it's not only you but crypto market in general has been the worst place to put your money over the past years

I used to have high expectations of getting rich from crypto, but now I'm just disappointed. I've seen many people like me on various cryptocurrency forums. :( :poop:

I don't think crypto is a scam, but it's not suitable for the masses to make money. Very few people profit from this market :((((((

Were these losses from holding major coins through bear markets, or were you actively trading/chasing altcoins and memecoins?

I opened a long position in October 2025 for ETH at $4200, and now ETH is down to $1500.This market is crazy. I've completely lost faith.

If there's one person who has the most influence on the market, it can only be Trump and his son. Next is the chairman, James Power (who has since retired). Trump's ban on many cryptocurrency laws only served to strengthen the USD and devalue USDT.

I've been at this school for 4 years now. I've been through 2 cycles, but this one is the worst. Everyone was shouting about BTC reaching 300k-500k this year, but now it's at 60k! :weep::weep: Some optimists say this is a good time to buy more BTC, but where would I get the money to keep buying when it's going down?

tbh i think there wont be any big "power" in his words quite shortly , so market would ignore any his bla bla after his confusing last months
