SEO changes constantly and some tactics lose effectiveness over time what is one SEO activity you completely stopped doing because the effort was no longer justified by the results?
I completely stopped manually submitting URLs to search engines. Google crawls everything so fast naturally now if your site has a proper setup, making manual fetches a total waste of time. I just let the sitemap do its job.
SEO is definitely changing fast, so I’ve also cut out some stuff that just isn’t worth the time anymore. For me, I don’t do as much low-impact link building anymore and some repetitive content tweaks that used to work but don’t move the needle anymore.
Stopped obsessing over DA/DR when picking link placements. wasted months building links to high DA sites that had zero organic traffic and were clearly deindexed or devalued by google.
DA and DR are third part metrics and Google doesn't use them. a DA20 site with 2000 monthly organic visitors passes more real value than a DA50 site with zero traffic. once I switched to filtering by organic traffic instead of DA my campaigns started actually moving rankings. best time decision I made in link building.
Agreed. Search results are changing every minute, so don't get anxious over short-term ranking fluctuations. SEO takes patience and time.
Also, I don't think we should separate SEO from GEO. You don't need to specifically do something for GEO , AIO/SGE still prefer to cite pages that already rank high in SERP
