More business owners seem to be building audiences on social media and linkedIn instead of replying entirely on Google traffic do you think personal branding becoming more valuable than traditional SEO for client acquisition and business growth?

I don't think personal branding is replacing SEO they are working together a strong personal brand can bring trust and leads faster while SEO provides long-term organic traffic Businesses that combine both are usually seeing the best results in 2026

Personal branding brings in warmer, more interested leads while SEO brings more people overall. the best approach is to use social media to show your expertise and SEO to catch people who are already searching.

I do not think so. I know many good seo providers who provide very good services but they never real their true identity. May be for local clients or offline seo companies, it is mandatory.

I think personal branding has become much more valuable than it was a few years ago, especially for service-based businesses and consultants.

Many business owners prefer building an audience on LinkedIn and social media because it's often faster and less expensive than competing against established websites in Google search results. A strong personal brand can generate leads, referrals, and trust without requiring significant investment in SEO.

In my view, the best strategy is to combine both. Use personal branding and social media to build authority, trust, and immediate visibility, while using SEO to create a long-term asset that generates consistent organic traffic.

For local businesses, personal branding can be extremely effective. But even for global businesses, a strong personal brand combined with traditional SEO is often more powerful than relying on either channel alone.

Yes, because people naturally buy from real humans rather than faceless websites ranking on google. a personal brand builds instant trust, while traditional SEO just brings random traffic.

I will atually go for both if there is enough funds because they all have there advantages

Personal branding and SEO actually work best together. Building an audience on LinkedIn brings direct clients, while SEO builds long term passive traffic. Relying on both diversifies your risk if an algorithm update hits your site.

"I think both have value. Personal branding helps build trust and attract clients directly, while SEO captures people actively searching for solutions. From what I've seen, building a strong presence on LinkedIn and social media is becoming increasingly important for client acquisition, especially when combined with traditional SEO."

@awesomewebsites made the most honest point here. plenty of top link builders and SEO operators run 7 figure operations with zero personal brand. depends entirely on what you sell. personal branding works best for coaches, consultants and agencies selling strategy. for service based SEO, link building, technical work, content production, results speak louder than a linkedin profile. clients in competitive niches like finance or casino don't care who you are. they care if your links move rankings. personal branding is a channel not a requirement. know which one fits your business model before investing time in it.

absolutely, personal branding will take you places you wouldnt imagine...

seo brings intent-driven traffic while personal branding builds credibility the strongest businesses usually combine both instead of choosing one over the other

yes, in many industries personal branding has become much more valuable than it was a few years ago. a strong presence on LinkedIn, social media, or communities can generate leads faster than waiting for SEO to mature.
that said, I don't see it as SEO vs personal branding. the strongest businesses usually combine both personal branding creates demand, while SEO captures it. if I were starting today, I'd invest in building an audience and a brand alongside SEO, not choose one over the other.
