Hi,
I am working on technical SEO optimization from last six months but didn't get improvement in google ranking.
So, what do you think which technical SEO techniques impacts google ranking mostly. Share some real experiences.

Focus on core web vitals and fixing crawl errors in search console, if your pages aren't indexing or your site is slow as hell on mobile, you're dead in the water, most technical stuff won't move the needle much if your content and backlinks suck anyway.

In technical SEO site speed and core web vitals also mattar a lot. slow loading pages o poor mobile performence can reduce rankings and limit how your pages are crawled.

what I see most often:
in many cases where the website owner says:
"my SEO techniques are perfect, but my rankings aren't improving," the actual reason is usually:
content doesn't address search intent. lack of quality backlinks. low signal strength. competitors have deeper and more up-to-date content.

Fixing crawl budget leaks and improving page rendering speed usually show the biggest impacts. Make sure your internal link architecture is clean and that you do not have broken redirect chains wasting the crawler's time. Even great technical optimization needs solid content and contextual relevance to move the needle.

Helps Google better understand your content and can improve appearance in search results rich snippets, which can indirectly boost CTR and rankings.

From my experience improving site speed fixing crawl/indexing issues and strengthening internal linking have had the biggest impact. Technical SEO is important but if ranking are not improving the issue is often content quality search intent or lack of authority rather than technical factors alone

Internal linking make the biggest difference. I have fixed the site speed and cleaned up technical issues on sites before and barely saw any ranking movement but when I improved internal linking and pointed more authority to important pages rankings started moving becuase google treat the internal linking as ranking signal

I know you asked for technical SEO and there are like dozens of guides just on this forum that discuss techniques that are important in that scope.

However, let's think about something.

What good is gaining traffic when that traffic is performing poorly with your content? No one has mentioned behavioral signals, but they
matter a lot, and that is why they give answers like "site performance," but think about it: "site performance" just means what, user behavior improvements?

Google cares now more than ever about how people interact with your content. That's true for traditional SEO or answer engine optimization alike.

Fixing crawl budget issues and optimizing internal link architecture usually bring the biggest ranking shifts. If Google cannot crawl your deep pages efficiently, they won't rank. Focus on eliminating heavy redirect chains and 404 errors first.

technical SEO alone rarely moves rankings significantly if content quality and backlinks are weak it’s more of a foundation than a ranking driver on its own.

Technical implementation is not the only thing that gets you ranked on Google. There are many other factors behind this. So, you need to figure it out.

Technical seo helps but I have seen the biggest ranking improvements from good content internal linking and quality backlinks.

Make sure your pages are indexed properly and there are no crawl issues.

That usually means we're missing something fundamental or overcomplicating it. honestly, forget the fancy stuff for a sec. crawlability and indexability are king. if google can't even find or understand your content, nothing else matters. check your robots.txt and your meta robots tags

Six months of technical work with no movement usually means technical wasn't the bottleneck. most sites that struggle to rank have clean enough technical setups already. the real issue is almost always one of three things, not enough backlinks to compete in the niche, content that doesn't match what google thinks searchers want, or targeting keywords that are just too competitive for the site's current authority. technical SEO removes barriers but it doesn't create ranking power. that comes from links and content. if your GSC shows impressions growing even slowly you are on the right track. if impressions are flat after 6 months the problem is authority not technical.

I have seen, technical SEO alone doesn't always lead to ranking improvements.
Things like fixing crawl errors, improving page speed, mobile usability, and indexing issues are important, but they mostly help Google access and understand your site properly.

Let’s talk about ''Core Web Vitals'', especially ''LCP and INP'', and take care of your ''index bloat issue'' and ''crawl budget'', ensuring that your website does not index junk. Your efforts to optimize the site have lasted six months, but nothing happens? It means that either Google indexes non-relevant pages, or you face significant problems with JS rendering.

In my experience fixing crawlability and improving internal linking had a bigger impact than most other technical seo tweaks.

improving site speed and user experience are the biggest technical factors. get the basic technical seo right, but after that, your ranking mostly depends on content quality.
