In my opinion, make sure consent banners or cookie scripts are not blogging tags. many websites lose data simply because tracking is not firing until user accepts cookie.

Just use google tag manager and stop hard coding scripts into your header, set your tags to fire on a slight delay so they don't tank your pagespeed scores. If your site is slow because of tracking bloat your rankings will drop.

I think using Google Tag Manager and regularly checking tags with Tag Assistant are two of the easiest ways to improve Google Analytics tracking accuracy.
the best way is to ensure that GA4 is kept clean and use tag manager for all the processes. the main reason behind the difficultie faced while optimizing GA4 is the occurrence of dupliate tag wrong triggers or consent block.
