Are OG (Open Graph) tags important for on-page optimization?

I am working on On-page optimization. So, I want to know that are OG tags important for On-page SEO optimization and how these tags works for google ranking?

Not important. Only useful if you want to share in many places that comply with it to have nice snippets

Those "snippets" matter more than people think. Clean image and title = more clicks when shared. More clicks means more traffic. More traffic can mean natural backlinks over time. Small thing, worth doing.

OG Graph has no importance honestly! For the on page seo, you must have to optimize your content according to the following Criteria.

1. First of All make a solid audit of your website
2. Do a deep and proper keyword research ( your 90% success based on this process)
3. Now you must know how to use the focus keyword accurately and make the mix of related keywords to get the quick ranking
4. Optimize the URL with respect to the focus keyword
5. Optimize the Images (Do image seo)
6. Make the content structured with proper heading hierarchy

Doing the on page seo is good but it is also equally important to do the technical seo too. Never ever underestimate the techincal seo of your website at any cost. If your technical seo is weak, both on page and offpage seo does not bring expected results, I bet.
