A very informative thread to read for newbie in SEO
my article is indexed on github but it is not rank on the top on specific keyword . The link is indexed before 3 days but no result i seeParasite SEO you post content on a high-authority platform like Medium, LinkedIn, or Quora instead of your own website so that it ranks quickly in Google.
You choose a high-search keyword
Create an article/post on a trusted website
Add your link or offer to it
That platform ranks quickly due to its authority
You get traffic and leads
Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend going too deep into parasite SEO anymore. It can work short term, but Google has become much better at detecting low-value Web2.0 spam and manipulative link patterns.Hi there BHW Memebers,
So I have recently started SEO, and I wanted to know how dose parasite seo Works and how would I rank the Web2.0 Articles which are posted on Medium.
Let me know How it works and please help me Understand that.
Thank you all in advance for your time and suggestions.
parasite SEO is when you try to rank the Medium/Reddit/LinkedIn page itself and use that page for traffic, affiliate links, lead capture, whatever.
But if you are new, I wouldn’t make the parasite page the main money site.
Build your own site first...
AFter all that is the asset you control.
Then use Medium, Reddit, Quora, Google Sites , LinkedIn etc as buffer pages around it.
So something like:
money site article ->>> your main offer/content
Medium/Web2.0 article -> supports that topic and links back naturally
tier 2 links -> point to the Medium/Web2.0 article, not straight to your main site
That is basically safer than blasting your own site directly, especially when still learning.
Example, if your money page is “best plumber in xyz city”, your Medium article can be something like “things to check before hiring a plumber in xyz city” and then link back where it makes sense.
Then you can build some contextual/******** links to that Medium article to push it.
If Medium ranks, good.
If it does not rank but passes some signals, still useful.
If Medium removes it, your real website is still yours.
That is the part many people forget with parasite SEO. You don’t own the platform.
So I would use parasite pages as buffers/supporting assets, not as the main business.
PS : That not because they cant rank that because they may got ban in no time.
How to find new sites to publish Content? any Google Dork or any forum where these sites can be found?Medium still ranks but medium may ban you for affiliate links or google will ban you and not index you for no apparent reason. (I know why because medium have been beaten to death by spammers.)
Both happened to me. I just stave clear off medium. Key is to keep finding new sites and keep posting.
