New Adult Forum - Now what?

I know forums are quite hard to build and even harder to grow, but I wasn't expecting something like this.
So, around here are users which managed to grow an adult forum community? If not, are people around willing to join me & build something together?

Twitter is great for bringing traffic to your forum. But as others have said, it's a very competitive niche and you're probably 5 years too late to the party when it comes to leaks sites/forums. Still, you can make it work.

The thing is, people usually don't want to register on random forums, especially NSFW ones. The chances of them actually interacting are even smaller.

That's why I would recommend first starting a normal leaks site. Post LOTS of content and make it rank on Google, Bing, and Yandex. Once you've built up a solid amount of regular users, you can start bringing those people over to your forum. You can have the normal leaks site at domain.com and the forum at forum.domain.com or whatever...



Quick tip: Add a "Delete your account" option. And at the end run a survey so you can find out why users never come back. People probably register on your forum to see if there are leaks of someone they're looking for, but if there aren't any, they'll just abandon the account. This is gonna happen especially if your Forum is empty. Usually, forums like these have tens of thousands of threads and hundreds of thousands of posts...

Another thing you can do is make people "subscribe" to forum threads. Basically, when somebody replies to a thread, they automatically get subscribed to it and receive updates via email from then on. But for that to work, you need users to register with real email addresses or emails they actually check regularly.
People on porn forums often use temporary mails. That's why, if you ban temp emails and only allow tier 1 email providers, you can increase the chances of users returning to your forum by keeping them updated through emails.
