Let me start by saying I'm still a noob in terms of SEO.

I use Microsoft Clarity + GA4 and is that it...?

I can see some useful data in the search console. Keywords, queries that led to clicks into my website then on Clarity I can see video recording but...

Is there a way to combine that data and to see for example that a queries "best X for Y" led to my website and connect it with recording so I can actually see the intent behind different queries?

I’ve been wondering (when you try to link specific search queries to user session recordings) what exact insight are you aiming to get? Like, are you more interested in understanding user intent, behavior after landing, or something else?
Because once you’re clear about that, it becomes easier to improve your content and site experience in a way that truly matches what visitors want, making your SEO efforts more effective.

are you using ms clarity because you detected poor engagement and want to find out why? how many visits are you getting per month on the site?

I’ve used posthog previously on other projects which lets you effectively screen record your users

That's a very advanced and insightful question for a beginner. You're trying to combine two of the most powerful insights in SEO, but no single tool can perfectly connect a specific keyword query to a session recording due to Google's privacy policies.
However, you can get close. You should use Google Analytics to segment your traffic by landing page from organic search. Then, go to Microsoft Clarity and filter the session recordings to that exact landing page. While you won't see the specific query, you'll be able to analyze the behavior of a group of users who all landed on the same page from organic search, which can provide invaluable intent data.

Hm I'm not sure if that would help. I've only got one website not just a landing page. To answer @mjcraftz question as well, I don't have THAT many views per month. I'd say around 500.

Every session above 2mins view time to me is insightful and what I want to know exactly is the following.

Query -> Intent

In a specific way where if I see someone googling "The best DM software for IG" vs "The best CRM for IG" vs "mother-child method IG"

And even though I sell a Instagram CMS software to me the information that I could get clients and rank better if I go with option 3 which could be easiest to rank for is amazing. But Queries info alone or clarity info alone won't get me that. It would only be super valuable as a combo which I'm not sure how to get. As for me being a noob, I'm only a noob at SEO. I know a thing or two about websites and at the moment. I'm itching to get all the data from those 500 views I get.

I hope it makes more sense, I still haven't had my daily dose of crack n coffeine

GA4 + GSC + Clarity is a good base, but they don’t natively stitch query → session → recording. GA4 only samples landing pages from queries (via GSC integration), while Clarity works session-level. To bridge them, people often use BigQuery exports or a tag manager setup to pass query/landing data into Clarity as custom dimensions. According to a 2025 MeasureSchool study, adding UTM + BigQuery pipelines cut “data silos” and improved attribution accuracy by ~32%. If you want an out-of-the-box solution, tools like Matomo or Piwik PRO integrate SERP + behavior tracking more seamlessly.

If you want to stitch query → session → behavior, the smoothest route in 2025 is using GA4 + GSC integration plus a CDP or data warehouse. GA4 can pull in GSC query data (impressions, clicks, avg position), and then you can pipe everything into BigQuery or Looker Studio to join it with Clarity recordings. According to a 2025 Databox survey, teams that unified GA4 + Clarity + GSC via BigQuery improved their funnel attribution accuracy by 29%. If you don’t want to build pipelines, privacy-focused suites like Matomo or Piwik PRO already bundle keyword + session replay in one place.

I use Ga4 to track everything works pretty good

Most tracking is covered by G4 + Clarity-GA4 for analytics, Clarity for session recordings and heatmaps. For more advanced tracking Hotjar or Mixpanel are good options.

I use Umami. It is free and have a Dashboard. It is very easy and fast to integrate :)

I have been toying around with OpenPanel, its like MixPanel but free. Great for avoid GDPR consent forms

Google Analytics has been getting worse every year especially the UX is super complicated. I use PostHog and I'm really happy with it
