[Journey] 5K USD / month with Wordpress or Vercel + Claude

Greetings fellow BHW members!

This is my second journey to getting a stable income here. I have some experience with digital marketing, websites and SEO, however I currently don't have much capital to invest so I'm trying to make this as lean as possible.

Previously I used to work with Chat GPT, but now I've really started enjoying building applications in Claude Code.

Yes, it's vibe-coding at its finest and I don't pretend to be an "AI builder", a "whisperer" or "visionary tech entrepreneur". I just want a simple business to generate decent revenue, and will try my best to learn along the way. In another life I'd probably have learned coding properly, but alas, I don't have the time now.

I will be posting my progress as a means of creating accountability and measurement so join along. I already purchased a Semrush account to search for keywords and have started adding them.

There are 3 different business setups involving 3 different websites, 1 in Wordpress which I built alone, and 2 in Vercel built with Claude Code:

1. This is a website in Wordpress is my consulting + online therapy website, which has already gained some traction but no clients yet. It has 69 published articles + 50 drafts.

2. This is a simple SaaS business in the US that has 38 published articles, built in Vercel

3. This is another simple SaaS business in the UK (different industry) that has 38 written articles also built in Vercel

The first website has more earning potential, each client could easily get me 4k-7k USD for 10 sessions (if it lands) while the other 2 can get between US$ 49 / month to US$ 599 / per month, but mostly in a passive way.

For now, the goal would be to get users coming via topical authority in the articles, cold emails and maybe some linkedin outreach. I’m open to learning and receiving advice.

All articles are created from now on using Claude, with the express instructions to avoid the Signs of AI writing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Signs_of_AI_writing).

Surprisingly, the results were very good and it does a good job in avoiding all the em-dashes and stuff, intra-linking, outbound linking and so on.

So it's content websites and you earning from displaying ads or selling service or?

Why in topic you mention Wordpress, Vercel?
 
Rankings remained slow and so far there hasn't been much change. I will however try to make some backlinks for them and continue adding articles with targeted keywords. Might also do some ads if I get some money.

For the moment I think it's important to set up some goals:

Website 1:
[ ] Get 1 high paying client
[ ] Get 3 high paying client
[ ] Get 7 high paying client

Website 2:
[ ] Get 5 clients for any plan
[ ] Get 10 clients for any plan
[ ] Get 30 clients for any plan

Website 3:
[ ] Get 5 clients for any plan
[ ] Get 10 clients for any plan
[ ] Get 30 clients for any plan

All websites are competing on content and I just got a list of keywords from Semrush to use in articles.

I mention Wordpress and Vercel just to compare and give a better idea for the readers to see what system is being used.

Let's see. Good luck but don't forget this area is not as easy as it seems. AI content is not easy to work with
 
this is an interesting setup because you're not relying on one project to save everything. three sites gives you room to test different markets, but it also creates the risk of spreading yourself too thin. the real challenge will be figuring out which project deserves most of your energy once the early data starts coming in.

Claude can help you build faster, but the money will still come from picking the right problem and getting traffic that converts.
 
Three projects is enough to compare ideas, but not too many, so it will comparing will become chaos. I'd pay close attention to which site gets the first real signs of demand. Traffic is useful, but customer conversations are gold, so be sure to follow this mostly. Looking forward to seeing which one gains traction first.

It's a not-so-well-known form of coaching and therapy which uses a particular certification that I have. Some people have expressed interest, but so far no one closed yet.

Thank you! Yes, although I'm building them more or less in parallel. All seem to have pretty decent keywords to explore, so we will see.

Thank you! Luckily I have plenty of time, though not so much money to invest for the time being. I'm also looking into easy ways to promote them.
 
Got a bit sidetracked and had to take a part time job for the time being. Things have been slow, but I'm still hopeful though and would you look at that... some consistency in publishing AI articles and 0 backlinks still got Google to recognize websites #2 and #3.

It's crazy, #3 got a massive amount of impressions, but 0 visits? I don't know what to make of it.

Here are the results:

Website #1 got 131 published articles. It's slow but starting to get some traction. I do believe direct messaging or cold calling would be the way to do it since this is high ticket.

Website #2: 75 articles published, got some impressions but still slow. SEO is difficult, not many people search these terms in the US. It's very niche oriented.

Website #3: Got a big spike. I don't know how it got so many impressions with only 54 articles, yet 0-1 clicks?

Something tells me I need more backlinks urgently and that might just start bringing in proper traffic and users.

I appreciate all suggestions and advice.
