I am curious if Tumblr tags still help posts gain visibility or if their impact has decreased. How do you choose the right tags, and how many should you daily use for better discoverability?

the tags arnt the issue - the falling traffic stats are the issue .

I am new to tumbir, but from what I have seen, tags do seem to help with discoverability. I usually try to use a mix of broad and specific tags that are directly related to the post instead of stuffing lots of random ones.

Recently, I’ve experimented with various approaches, including posts with hashtags and posts without them, but I haven’t noticed much difference in their performance.

Recently, I've noticed that hashtags on Tumblr still have some value, but they no longer boost content reach as effectively as they used to.

Tumblr tags still boost reach, use 5 to 10 relevant niche specific tags per post, as targeted tags perform better than using too many broad ones.
