Hi,
I am starting blogging and try to learn the basics. There are so many different opinions about seo, content, backlinks etc that are a bit overwhelming.
can someone please guide me this things.

What is your blog about? Type in the keywords and check if Google AI provides answers, because if you're a beginner, you'll need to invest money and put in hard work to build your blog.
 
No one is going to lay out the basics for you here. There's enough content online that you can go through, work on your blog and then come here to ask specific questions.

My advice would be to keep things simple at the start, focus on creating useful content and learning basic SEO before worrying too much about advanced tactics
 
When starting a blog, focus on one niche and publish useful content regularly. Learn the basics of on page SEO, such as titles, headings, keywords, and internal links. Build a few relevant, high quality backlinks instead of chasing large numbers. Most importantly, be patient SEO is a long term process, and consistent effort delivers the best results.

I think the blog business is over. Even Google is prioritizing AI in its search results, and people aren’t visiting blogs to get information as much as they did even a year ago. This isn’t a long-term business it’s going to end soon.
 
Start with the fundamentals: keyword research, creating useful content, and basic on-page SEO. Don't try to learn everything at once—publish content, track results, and improve as you go.

What is your niche? You can learn basic
SEO by watching YouTube videos.
 
If you are at starting point Start with basics first on google SEO focus on writing helpful content before worrying abut backlinks or advanced tricks.
 
I just advice to keep things simple in the beginning. Focus on publishing helpful content consistently, learn basic on page seo and don't worry too much about backlinks right away. Most beginners get overwhelmed because they try to learn everything at once. Start creating content first, then improve your seo and link building knowledge as you go.
 
Start with the basics, pick a niche you can really handle. Then do keyword research, not just the obvious queries, but the slightly quieter ones too. After that write helpful content and keep it readable. Work on on-page SEO too, titles and headings, plus those internal links that guide people, and search engines. Also make sure your site loads fast and it looks right on mobile devices. From there build relevant high quality backlinks over time, steadily, not in a chaotic rush. Don’t try to chase every SEO trend that pops up. Consistency matters more than frantic changes, and quality matters more than quantity.

one thing nobody mentioned... pick a niche you actually wont get bored of in 3 months. seen so many people start a blog around some random high cpc topic they have zero interest in and then they ghost it by post 10. consistency is way easier when you dont hate the subject.

also dont sleep on internal linking early. its free, you control it fully and it helps way more than people think when you got 20-30 posts up. backlinks can wait honestly, first just get a decent base of content that doesnt read like ai garbage and you'll be ahead of most beginners already.
