I’m 19 from Bulgaria. Starting a B.A. in Business Administration in Austria. Math is my weak spot, so CS wasn’t realistic, and I had to choose Business Administration. My goal is to break in as a junior SWE or Cloud/DevOps/SRE in Bulgaria or Austria. Not marketing or sales.

Right now I am grinding an Azure cert. Then I plan to pick a second cert. I’m also doing DSA on LeetCode daily.

Questions:
  1. With only a Business B.A., can I still get a junior SWE/Cloud role in BG/AT if I have projects and 1–2 solid certs?
  2. Which two certs move the most for a first role here: SAA + DVA, or SAA + KCNA/CKAD?
  3. My degree has a 22-week internship semester. Could I land a tech internship/job even though my degree will be Business Administration?
  4. After the B.A., if it's not enough, I could consider an IT (light math, part-time while working) to actually pass CS degree filters? Would that work?
  5. How much LeetCode is “enough” for typical junior screens?

Looking for blunt advice and real stories from people who broke in without a CS bachelor. What would you do in my shoes to maximize odds within 1–3 years?

Sure you can, but personally I'd recommend looking into paid hiring agencies specifically for swe positions as that will up your chances considerably, they will fluff up your resume, assign an experienced person to assist you for % of your salary etc. It sucks but thats the best way to land a good job in swe these days for a junior imo

Try to be hired in any IT company, it will change how recruiters will look at your resume

Yes, it is 100% possible to break into DevOps/Cloud with a Business degree, especially in Europe if you utilize that 22-week internship wisely. For your certs, go with AWS SAA + CKAD. Containers (Kubernetes) are mandatory for DevOps right now. Use your business background as a selling point—companies love tech guys who actually understand business operations and budgeting.
