[Life Advice for 18-30] How to Get Stupidly Wealthy

Wrong about what?

Mention it properly so we can discuss it or maybe OP can give you a proper answer.
I am not going to read the post again but off the top of my head
op assumes a 25 year old has 2 million dollars. last time i checked a 25 year old has just graduated college with nothing to his name if he is lucky. most have student loans that they have to pay until their 30s.
op assumes s&p pays 10% a year. op has never heard of 2008 crash.
i have a solution better than op on how to become wealthy. just be born into a rich family.

There was more than just stock market crash if you referring about 2008 crash

i have a solution better than op on how to become wealthy. just be born into a rich family.
Well, is this a solution? Does make sense at all

This can't be an even choice at all

my solution is just as ridiculous as op's solution of a 25 year old starting with 2 million dollars.

I guess It's really depends person to person

Skip 2 millions actually you can start with $5K/M or maybe $1K/M or as per your comfort

This is the advice that if I could go back to when I was 18 and teach myself I would be, today, sitting on a yacht laughing at my ridiculous success.

Instead. I discovered this at 43.

That's ok for me. I'm blessed with good genetics and I have the same energy/health I had in my 20's so I can keep building, but I'll impart this wisdom on my younger friends here on bhw.

Most of you won't manage to do this though. It requires discipline and it goes against everything the influencers preach, but for the handful of you that do, you're in for an amazing life.

Here's the biggest secret that no one talks about.. (really)

You only need to compound 8-9% to get wealthy. You don't need to make 15%, 20% or higher returns.

The S&P 500 has done about 11% average over the past 100 years.
To the young men (women) who are reading this, while this gentleman may have good intentions you need to be worried about the advice you get. Specially, the should have could have types. The S&P 500 started in March 1957 - but that's semantics and is a clean 31 years away from being over 100 years old. 20 to 30 years ago getting your hands on investing books and material was nonexistent and now every dude out here thinks they've unlocked God mode. The average 18-year-old in the days barely had a car or a job that offered stock options or retirement benefits, and the average job was 32k a year and that was at peak age (35-55). IRAs and 401k are managed with spreadsheets, algo, and software today and it wasn't like your money was moving around like the sophisticated $hit we have today. Mobility, communication, and transportation are worlds apart from the 2000s and it wasn't like you can uber as a side hustle. If you were an 80s baby majority of families were getting wrecked by the oil crisis followed by an economic downturn in the 1990s. The GDP in the 2000 was approximately $10.25 trillion and in 2026 its 32 trillion so the US is flushed with cash now a days and why you see the 25 year olds with 2026 cars vs a $hit box in 2012. I haven't even touched 2008 and thats just another story- Majority of us men always say "If I knew about dating now, I would have killed it in High school/college"

Here's your life plan:

Age 18 to 30 - You have maximum energy. This is also the worst time for men. Trust me. 40+ is the fucking time to be a man :-) 18-30 is your prep-years. (Whether you want a wife or to be a playboy. Doesn't matter. Build and focus on you first and you'll get a super high quality wife at 30-35+ and can build a huge family with ease if that's what you want. Which imo is the best path.)
If you can net just $2 mil by the time you're 25, here's what the numbers look like with 9% compounding :
No one is saving $2 million by 25. 1% of people under 25 have a net worth of 430k This is including all the nepo babies.

Age 18-30 - Just earn and bank. Don't grow companies. Don't reinvest heavily into a company. If you can bank $300k-$400k/year for a few years you're good
It's easy to make $1mil/year for 5 years.
No its not - its extremely hard. If you go to trade school at minimum you are burning 2 years and it may take you another 4-5 years to become proficient enough to make this amount of money. If you make 2 million by 25 the government is taking 32-37% if you live in Cities like New York half of the money is gone in 2 years. So you would have to make 3 million dollars. Which is less than 1% of the population

Here is the problem with following this guys advice. He is following a paradigm like the climate change people.

In 1980s Japanese we hear about the boom and bust - but they never talk about the millions of Japanese that had their WHOLE retirement in the Nikki 255

You are VERY confident about dumping 2 million dollars into the S&P 500? Do you think you are special or unlock some kind of infinite money glitch? You dont think some of the smartest and brightest Japanese investors and business men were not playing the same game in 1989 and got rugged pulled? It took over 34 years to recover. When does the S&P 500 has its Nikki 1989?

In my opinion this post is a funnel into your business and that is fine. I'm just calling a spade a spade. You didn't come in here telling people how to become the top 20%, but more like the .5%. You didn't say hey guys look this is hard as %hit - but at the end you can do X and X.

The other strange thing is that you are from the UK - What are the odds someone from the UK 20 years ago would invest in the S&P 500 - so I find your statements very strange and very US centric as if this is your target base for your funnel.

My post is not an attack on you, but you have no clue what is going down in the next 25 years for a 18 year old now.

I'm not going to get involved in a big point by point argument.

Yes, if you invested on the worst day in history of the worst market in the past 100 years you'd only have just recovered today.

Well done. You got me. You found an extreme case that proves me wrong.

Of course this doesn't change my advice. The s&p 500 is still one of the safest things you can. There's bonds, but that'll only just beat inflation by a little.

This here is the biggest problem.

Blackhatworld has changed. I've not been around much in the past 2 years, and I didn't realize how much it's changed.

Throughout the past 15 years this forum has been full of ballers making money in marketing.

The fact that you mention "trade school" to me is extremely weird.

The kind of responses are getting are akin to what I'd get if I posted on a students forum, or a car enthusiast forum or some other forum full of regular everyday normies.

I've made 8 figures since I joined this forum.

I have clients from this forum who do 7 to 8 figures. I have 1 client who runs a 9 figure company. I met him here.

Your world is not my world.

You can jump over to my world if you can shift your mindset out the negative normie one to an abundance mindset. You're very welcome over here.

I have multiple 19 to 23 year old friends who make 6 figures a month.

I don't know any who make 7 though. 30's and 40's, yeah, but not 20's, so I give you that.

In my day here, people were coming here to make real money and obtain financial freedom.

This is why there's no even any point going point by point. You aren't who I was aiming this post at.

The other strange thing is that you are from the UK - What are the odds someone from the UK 20 years ago would invest in the S&P 500 - so I find your statements very strange and very US centric as if this is your target base for your funnel.

Now, this I will address. This is a very direct claim.

I understand you might not know about funnels, but, can you explain to me where my funnel is and what I'm selling where you think my goal is to find broke angry young men and convince them to invest in the s&p 500?

Do you know anything about me?

I run a link selling business that's been in the marketplace here since 2017. I don't get customers for my pbns by writing posts about the s&p 500.

The 2 things have absolutely 0 in common.

People like you who are talking about trade school are absolutely not my target market for selling links.

You are essentially accusing me of being a make money online coach trying to get people into some imaginary funnel.

Where is the funnel?

What am I selling?

Or is my marketing method: Catch your attention with telling you to save some money to invest in the s&p 500, then, I hit you with my link building package? Here, these links will help you invest in the s&p 500.

splishsplash's S&P 500 Link Building Package. Yeah let me wire up a new sales package. We could run a marketing campaign like "Look at this graph of the s&p 500. Your rankings will look exactly like this!"

That's a great idea actually.

P.S. What a weird-ass account you have.

Joined in 2017. Last post in 2021, then you appear today just to attack me? 5 years after your last post?

My post was so offensive to you it brought you out of a 5 year retirement? ;-) Or more likely you bought an account to come here and attack. Likely one of the other weird accounts posting here.

You just need to earn $2 million before the age of 25,that amount is unimaginable for the vast majority of people.

You're on blackhatworld.

Guys.

Fuck me.

What's happened to the world.

You've all lost hope.

Get hustling. There's more money out there than you can possibly imagine.

In my day all the knowledge was secret. Today it's all out there. There's no secrets.

There's so much knowledge.

You can go buy Hormozi's books as a start. Read those and you're above 90% of people hustling online.

The advice he shares is real. It's a bit condensed and you'll be better if you go to the source of course (If you want the sources, just ask me.)

Stop being so negative people. All this crap about rich families.

There's more opportunity today in 2026 than there's ever been and you guys are sitting here talking about fucking trade school and rich families.

They have no connection to any other account from what we can see. Also, I think you've been here long enough to know we have many lurkers.
You remind me of @Sartre for some reason.
They're not the same person.

Could be. I just thought I'd point it out to you just in case.

I just found that *extra* strange. 5 years is a long time. If legit, then I'm flattered I brought him out of 5 years of lurking! :-)

LOL, he thought I was Sartre. That offends me actually. That's the first thing in this thread that's actually pissed me off.

Sartre is everything I created my SEO business to rebel AGAINST. I was the antithesis of Sartre.

You remind me of @Sartre for some reason.

I am Tom Belfort.

I have been here for years. You can find me across the Internet with the same photos. People have met me.

I am no one pretending to be anyone. I am one of the most visible people in the history of the forum.

Why not start a YouTube channel? It operates under different mechanisms than forums and short attention span social media.

People can't kill YouTube channel with bots.

You can make live-stream and talk with people as well.

Real money isn't made like that :-)

I'm building an 8 figure ARR SaaS that'll be super clean and detached from myself, so if I walk away, it continues to run and grow.

None of that is achieved with a youtube channel. The opposite in fact. No one wants to buy a company for $100m-$200m that's tied to an online personality. They want something they can scale without the founder.

Ah, it's more the world being like this.

Private groups are where you'll find the big players, but you have to be running something significant to get access generally otherwise they become full of people asking questions.

No one is being negative. Just like you, my portfolio is loaded with a good amount of MSTR and I got in early and I am literally in the 1% of my demography. I agree with many of your points. However, your post is a twinke and full of fluff. It reminds me of a pig butchering scheme where the victim willing comes to you because the Butcher gases them up with free stuff or (motivation) and you dont have to drop a link or anything. Just like the instagram thots you just wait until they come into your DMs. I mean am I wrong? I am not even saying you are selling a bad product or that you are scamming. Its just an effective funnel

Use this time to bank hard. Don't try to grow companies.
You keep working and banking until you're about 30. At this point, you've maxed out your VOO. Job should be done. The more you get in it pre age-30, the more you'll have later in life.

Don't you own a business?
This is straight from YOUR company
During your use of the Company’s services, you may may have access to proprietary, private and/or otherwise confidential information belonging to Company. “Confidential Information” will mean all non-public information which constitutes, relates or refers to the operation of the business of Company, its customers’, suppliers’, and other third parties’ past, present, and future business affairs including without limitation, financial, operational, personnel, sales, marketing, intellectual property of Company and any trade secrets, proprietary software (including but not limited to company-generated domains and backlinks), the identity of the Company’s customers or clients, or and pricing information of Company.

So in one hand you are telling young men who are typically, hot headed, desperate to make $$, and are willing to part with their money more easily than a seasoned older gentleman to go out and work there assess off and completely void themselves of their youth while you are simultaneously running and building a company with IRON CLAD legal instruments in place.

The contention is your histrionic take on everything. You didn't come in with "hey guys when you are 18- strive to save 500k by 25. Out the gate you are pushing absurd numbers - and when you get push back you are like "THIS IS BLACKHAT" "THE WORLD IS DOOMED"

The absurd number and take may creates negative discourse - and thus the funnel begins as young desperate men try to find out the "sauce" and thread gets pushed up multiple times in forum.

In my day all the knowledge was secret. Today it's all out there. There's no secrets.

There's so much knowledge.

When everyone has the knowledge the playing field changes and new rules are added. Like in the stock market Too many people were winning and all the firms started looking for Asian math geniuses over seas. They then started constructing fiber optic lines from NYSE to get the data a spilt second before you. Now they have switches on the market to control you from buying and selling.

The reality is in todays market you are not becoming rich unless you run a business. It could be a youtube business or a bunch of laundry mats. You are NOT making 150 mill off with just S&P and work. Warren Buffet had multiple businesses very young.

Business has broader meaning than "company". You mean, you have to run a company? No, you don't have to run a company to make money.

Anyone can start link selling business with enough trial-error. I wouldn't call it company.

With great ideas and results comes great responsibility. I can't imagine someone not registering legal structure called company with big numbers.

It's just an example. I don't know why people take it so literally and personally. Maybe it hits someone's emotions and something else.

I'm 28 and it's too late...

What?

Why did you post a screenshot from my terms of service on wolfofblogstreet.com? What's that suppose to prove?

1779985975944.png

Yes, people have access to confidential information. What's your point? Have you ever run a business before?

Buddy, I'm an exec vip with a join date of 2013, 14000+ likes and 3000+ messages. I have 4 likes for every message over a period of 13 years.

I've been writing guides and helping people here for an incredibly long time. I have SEO guides on siloing and other topics dating back to 2015.

Yet, you're accusing me of being creating this thread in order to scam angry young men via PM?

Do you think, I woke up after 13 years on the forum and running an SEO business, and decided I was going to become a make money online coach and I'd create a thread about investing in the S&P 500 to lure people in to messages me for more info?

What info am I hiding anyway?

Make money. Buy VOO. Job done. You don't need to pay $997 for a "How to get rich with VOO" course.

This entire thread is a masterclass in how the world has totally lost hope.

P.S. "Demography" is the study of populations. You meant "demographic".

The reality is in todays market you are not becoming rich unless you run a business. It could be a youtube business or a bunch of laundry mats. You are NOT making 150 mill off with just S&P and work. Warren Buffet had multiple businesses very young.

P.P.S Blackhatworld is a business forum.

Anyone can start link selling business with enough trial-error. I wouldn't call it company.

It's a company. I have 300+ clients and the parent company is a US C corporation. I pay more in corporate taxes than most small businesses earn in revenue.

I don't agree with OP and we discussed at the beginning of this thread, but what a weird stuff is happening here xD

Random profiles appearing out of nowhere...take a look at the likes in some comments, they are all banned now, tons of fake accounts appearing to spread likes to everybody. Weirdoes with multi-accounts discussing with themselves. Some guys bumping it everyday. Now a guy appearing after five years to talk about personal stuff...lmao, for some reason it seems this post attracted the attention of bots and previously banned members with their alts.
