New to Reddit Marketing, Is it still worth Learning?

Hello Guys,
I have been seeing more people mention Reddit as a traffic source, but I am completely new to it.
For someone just starting out, what would you focus on first? Building karma, joining niche communities, or something else?
Would love to hear from experienced people.

Yes, I think it’s still worth learning, but treat Reddit more like a community platform than a quick traffic source. Focus on learning how a few niche subreddits actually behave including the tone, the rules, and what kind of posts get ignored vs. upvoted.

Karma helps, but understanding the subreddit is usually the bigger factor.
 
Karma matters, but local trust matters more, so 100 real comment karma in the right niche beats 5k random meme karma all day

The biggest thing on Reddit is consistency. A lot of new user try to promote too early, which usually leads to poor engagement or restrictions. What works better is becoming part of the community first, comment regularly, join discussion, and understand what type of content people actually respond to. Once trust is build, visibility comes much more naturally.

Reddit is definitely still worth learning, but you should not focus on traffic in the beginning.

For someone just starting out, you must focus on understanding how different subreddits work. Every community has its own culture, rules, and expectations. What works in one subreddit can get ignored or removed in another.

Building karma is important, but I see it more as a result of good participation rather than the main goal. You can join communities related to your niche, contribute to discussions, and answer questions where you can add value.

Also, reddit has become much stricter nowadays. Many subreddits have karma requirements, account age requirements, automated filters, and moderators are generally quicker to remove anything that looks promotional. Because of that, trying to push links too early usually does not work well.

In my experience, people who come to Reddit looking for quick traffic usually struggle. The people who spend time becoming part of the community tend to get much better results in the long run.

yes, reddit is still one of the fastest traffic source right now. It can be a headache but in terms of cost/efficient it is pretty good
