I run about 18 subs, but I own 6, all entirely organic. Currently my largest sub has 70k+ members with 180k weekly visitors, which I grew in under 5 months. My full time job is to literally grow subreddits. Recently business has been booming because upvotes panels aren't working/don't stick so organic growth is extremely important if you want to actually still use reddit for marketing. Building your own subreddit community is one of the only ways for successful marketing nowadays.

Consistency is #1.
also have 10+ accounts (different device with different IP) take popular posts from similar subreddits and post twice daily. Crosspost to relevant subs (or your own network of subs if you have that [I do]).. Time your posting for US timezone, 6-8am ET, noon ET, and 6-8PM ET. Start very very broad and eventually narrow down your niche and audience once you have enough engagement. Don't rely on reddit for content for your subreddit, tiktok is a good source. I have about a million other tips but then I'd be giving away my business model for free!

Panels down means you need people who are true professionals now -- but a lot still want to get everything cheap.
&0K Members with 180k weekly visitors is low. Why's it so low?
I have 40k members and do nearly 400k visitors weekly:
I'm trying to get this group to 1 Million visitors weekly.

what percentage is botted? ? You say organic here but the numbers dont align.

botting does not work lol that will result in moderator account and subreddit being banned almost instantly. and views depends on the niche. look at the visits for r/productivity for example. 4.2 million members but 400k weekly visits. also I appreciate you reaching out and always keen to network but why be so critical in this public thread but offer to network via DM's? you're reminding me of my ex lmao. awks.

I figured you'd post that - I left the conversation after I saw the botting post to be transparent here.
That's not even critical. It's just common sense obvious.
6 Months ago you were trying to bot subs with paid users, not understanding the risks, and now you're trying to post subs with stats that seem a bit 'skewed' . Not impossible but I'll have to steer clear of associations. Kudos to you if you are being honest.
I no longer want to network just out of respect for the type of business I do with my clients.

Very interesting, this is what I am currently trying to look into. Say I have a service in the home improvement niche delivering leads and I can tell that Google loves to show various Reddit threads about it. I'm curious what the process is here?
Do I engage in the communities relevant to that topic to build trust with helpful comments and then eventually might drop a link to my site whenever relevant? Or do I act like someone unaffiliated with my business that just stumbled upon my service? Or do I start my own subreddit and post it like an extended "blog" with just my own content?
Reddit users and mods can obviously be quite vigilant at cracking down on shilling.

I would recommend starting your own sub.
Get a paid consultation on how to grow it, ping-ponging ideas with the advisor you choose.
It's a very tedious job. If you can afford it, just pay someone to do the sub and manage it as the main admin, allowing the others to just be able to add content and moderate, maybe.
Trying to shill in comments can work on big posts too but as you noted -- Mods can easily remove you.
Behind the scenes, a lot of things are pay-for-play, and there are some major figures controlling certain Reddit niches. For instance, Pet Foods & certain Human food conversations -- clearly controlled by major food industries to avoid promoting healthier ideas.

I'd love to learn Reddit better and better, but I'm having a tough start. I used to have 37 karma on Reddit, but when I was hiring freelancers through Reddit, I got banned.
I'm new to Reddit and want to figure out how to build karma properly without getting banned. Based on what I've seen, the key is to behave like a real person instead of posting 50 comments in an hour or spamming links.

Congrats . How long running?
The one of mine that's exploding in growth is SFW but still easily usable to market 'appealing' females at will and it has a huge reach already. I try to play the safe line so it's more usable.
