Hello,
I'm going to set up 100+ Pinterest accounts this year that post images with a referral link to a certain website. I'm not disclosing which websites I'm using.
[My Backstory]:
Years ago, I tried lots of grey-hat and black-hat stuff, but most of it didn't work out for me. For example, I tried auto-posting affiliate links on Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, etc. None of it generated significant traffic/income. I created my own Facebook group with 40K members, but never managed to monetize it.
I managed to get one very good referral on Honeygain (made 5 to 10 buck p/m), then I got 30 more, but none of them were as good as the first one. Honeygain changed how referrals worked last year, or maybe the year before, so it basically became useless.
I got a few referral signups from Shutterstock (made 10 bucks), and a few referrals for Fiverr (made 11 bucks), among other failed projects. I used Medium.com to generate traffic for those, but it was a lot of work for very little traffic.
I also followed lots of journeys here, only to find out that many of them were fake or just didn't work for me. Anyway, there has been one thing that did work quite well, Pinterest. Although it's a slow process because it takes time before pins gain traction and start getting clicks. (sometimes pins go viral though, which is nice).
Years ago, before Pinterest banned automation tools, I would find all kinds of RSS feeds that contained images. I didn't really care what the images were, as long as they were good quality. I would then use tools like IFTTT to automatically post them on Pinterest, replace the original link with my referral link, and bam... I was spamming thousands of pictures a day. For some reason, my account never got banned. Sadly, not long after that, Pinterest did catch up and started banning my accounts, just when things were starting to get interesting. I also lost access to my money website (though it wasn't related to Pinterest spamming).
Anyway, that test account I made managed to get 10 million pin views per month in no time. Most of the clicks I got were useless, but the referral site I used had a 30-day cookie period, and I was starting to get referral sales. So I knew it was working, but Pinterest made it impossible to continue and I lost my referral account.
Coming back to the present moment, Pinterest does allow some automation again, and I created a new referral account for that same website that banned me (fingers crossed they don't find out it's me).
So this time, I'm not going to spam irrelevant pictures on Pinterest. Instead, I am using the referral site's native RSS feed to post real products on Pinterest with only 1 pin every 8 hours. It's much slower this way, but I should be safe.
I also found a "glitch" or "bug" on Pinterest that makes my new Pinterest accounts basically immune to getting banned. It's pretty sweet and has worked every time so far (not going to say exactly what it is, but it's very simple once you know it).
[My progress thus far]:
I've set up 52 Pinterest accounts that auto post one pin every 8 hours (roughly 150 pins per day). I've gotten around 500 clicks so far over the last half year. I'm counting on a snowball effect. Clicks are going up each month (so its scaling up). I got 3 sales and made 10 bucks so far.
I created my own tracking system using Google AI Studio (see screenshots). I still need to manually import the click data and sales data, but it looks much cleaner than the native dashboard and gives me more insights.
I'm not sure how often I will update this thread. My goal is to get 100 accounts by the end of the year, so I will probably give an update around that time. I might check this thread if there are any questions though. Just know, I am going slow, and hope that I can scale it to like 100 or 500 bucks a month, IF that is realistic at all...
