Many pages built on reposted content are reporting major reach declines recently Has Instagram improved its ability to detect recycled media and are original content creators now receiving significantly stronger algorithmic preference

Yeah, a lot of repost pages have been getting hit lately while original content gets pushed more. You can still get views reposting, but it’s nowhere near as easy as it used to be.

Yes, Instagram has severely cracked down on aggregator profiles. The algorithm now evaluates pages on a rolling 30-day basis, and if it detects mostly unoriginal or recycled media, the entire account is stripped of algorithmic recommendations.

This means unedited reposts are completely blocked from the Explore page, Reels tab, and suggested feeds. To survive, you have to add heavy creative edits, use the official Collab or Repost features, or completely pivot toward producing original content.

Yes even though there was not an announcement for IG's algorithm, I believe they changed it and it detects recycled media more easily and bans them.
