What is the most effective link-building strategy working for you right now?

Contextual links on aged relevant pages still move rankings best for me
Profile and directory links mostly help indexing and diversity now. Biggest mistake is blasting too many low quality links too fast on fresh sites

"Natural" is the catch

Since most traffic is probably mobile now they're tracking logged in users on smartphones

A site with too much traffic and not many logged in visitors, probably raises flags

It's mostly about behavior now, not so much about the static link itself

A legit link will have logged in google accounts clicking on it
That makes sense
