Looking to learn how to become a better affiliate

How did you start?
I'm in my baby steps right now and just getting into the affiliation world. Had a few projects the ultimately failed due to bad managing on my part.

I want to gain some insight from others who went through similar or different struggles and overcame them
 
Advertise on BHW
You need real traffic, lots of traffic or very targeted traffic. It could be anything from Google, social media, paid traffic. Did you get it first time? Focus on this one thing first. That's how you can start.
 
I think most of us started by failing a few times first, that’s honestly where you learn the most. ;)
For me, what helped was focusing on one traffic source at a time instead of jumping between methods. Once I got consistent results, I scaled from there.
Stick with it, analyze what went wrong with your past projects, and you’ll get better fast. Affiliate marketing’s all about patience and small wins adding up over time.
 
Hi, by “bad managing on your part” what do you mean…? Can you expand on that a bit. I’m a bit curious. What do you feel you did or didn’t do on your part that inhibited your success…?

Within my years of experience, I realized there is literally no way I can succeed without HQ targeted traffic. Hence I tried almost all the tricks in the book. Social media Growth, Blogging & Seo, and a lil bit of paid traffic (would say my budget was too small to even add this as a point). None of these worked or I’d say as much as I wanted.

Now I truly felt if I had enough funds for running enough paid traffic/ads. Would had seen a lot more success. However even with the inconsistent social media growth and free traffic methods I’ve used. Was still able to see some conversions/success in Adult CPA, Clickbank, Dropshipping etc.

Good thingy is I haven’t given up. Still Grinding!
 
Focus on just one thing. Traffic Generation. Sounds simple but not as easy. Put all your effort into doing that and continue learning on all the other aspects of Internet and Affiliate marketing.

Hey, by bad managing I mean not making a proper funnel, not securing the data I get, getting my posts and accounts flagged, buyers journey was all over the place and getting shafted by people in the industry.

I am learning from these hurdles but it gets really discouraging at times when I'm making next to zero progress.

Most beginners chase high paying offers and then worry about the traffic. It's better to find a traffic source first and start promoting the product or service that works with it.
 
I started small too. Made a lot of mistakes at first - bad sources, bad tracking, and trying to do everything alone. The key for me was focusing on one traffic source, testing small, and learning from each flop instead of giving up.

Also, connecting with other affiliates helped a lot like seeing what worked and what didn’t saved me months of trial and error. Baby steps are fine, just keep testing and improving.
